They just interupted the regular news with "breaking news", complete with dramatic music and everything. The anchor dude acted like he was checking notes carefully before giving the news. I was so sure that the fukn ruskies were getting ready to attack or something! Turns out Paris Hilton was arrested in S. Africa for possessing marijuana. WTF is wrong with us, where someone thinks this is news?

We as far as the media are concerned have been brought up to worship the god that is the celebrities, they are the be all and end all of our life, and so we must be told everything that happens to them, as it is they are not people, but public property. It is all a circus as far as the media are concerned and they, the media are the fleas on the circus animal's backs.
