Brain -> News Flash: New Evidence Fox 'News' is Not News (7/2/2010 7:35:05 PM)

See the charts that FauxNews is using to feed it's listening audience by clicking on the story link. FoxNews isn't news it's lies.

News Flash: New Evidence Fox 'News' is Not News

Faked chart used to deceive viewers on U.S. unemployment data...

Fox "News" Channel has been using this grossly distorted; incorrectly named and deceptively skewed chart on a number of its "news" shows of late...

See Media Matters' for more eye-popping, visual, demonstrable, independently verifiable facts about this latest of utter lies from the shameless America-haters at Fox "News".

http://www.bradblog.com/?p=7921

But the chart is entirely, utterly, and reprehensibly misleading, as well as, yes, flat out wrong. In truth, here is an actual chart of U.S. job losses (and gains) since December of 2007:

Well the same applies to CNN, MSNBC, and so on.

Actually hunky, MSNBC has been very quick to criticize Obama lately, especially dealing with the oil spill in the gulf.  Which is a bit strange since they are a LIBERAL biased agency.

CNN doesn't seem to have a bias, but their sister network HLN does, or at least some of their talk show hosts do.

Personally, I think the news networks should stick with JUST NEWS and forget having the Glen Becks, Hannity, Maddow, and Olbermann type shows.

First of all, you’ve said you don't watch TV, so how would you know?

And secondly, I don't agree - MSNBC IS objective. Right wingers always call anyone objective a lefty. Telling the truth makes us ‘left’ wingers.

Fox News lies. Right wingers say I am a biased left-winger and it’s bull. They tell/say/think it of me all the time.

You torpedo your entire argument with that statement.

MSNBC and FOX are just different sides of the same coin.  I don't really see a point in watching either one of them.

FOX does seem to be having repeated problems with things like this graph.  I guess we'll soon be hearing about how this was a "mistake" just like the videos were.

I don't care if they are objective.

Commentators are not news.

Now, qualified analysts, fine.

But since news has long since become entertainment, commentators are what you're gonna get.

Not even close.
They may have their own agenda as to what real news to show you but they don't lie through their teeth like Fox does.

It is all over the news industry and more are coming forward, if you do not say and show what Murdock wants and it's all lies...you are fired.

Walking through the Wall Street Journal and their offices and seeing men sitting at their desk. "Who are all of these people reading ?" he asks his assist.  Assistant replies, "Sir, they are your editors."

"Well tell them all to stop sitting around reading and get back to work." Rupert Murdock

Assistant, "Sir, that's what editors do."

Wrong. Almost almost everything out of Fox News and commentary...is an outright lie. That clip was purposefully liying to try to show the policy failures of Obama. They are not 'repeated problems.' They are completely by design and deliberate propaganda against Obama's policies.

Everything out of Fox News is a lie in my view until what's covered and the same 'facts' are arrived at by other sources.

However, I won't be able to tell...I don't watch ANY political news or commentary. I do however research their feeds and origins.

How is this new info? Even I know fox is like an american dailymail.

THELADY -> RE: News Flash: New Evidence Fox 'News' is Not News (7/5/2010 6:57:44 PM)

several things in life amaze Me....

the 'left' is always trying to shut down anything 'right' yet they go about it trying to sound like they only want to be 'fair' in radio they want the left to have equal time, as if every one would want to hear more b.s. about how the health care bill will lower our deficit or how raciest the arizona bill is (even though it parrots federal law) or how horribly bad big business is...even though we depend on business for jobs or how we r going to burn up in 50 years even though climatetologist can't predict what will happen in the weather tomorrow with any accuracy.

'fair' is u watch what u want to watch and I watch what I want to watch.

even though I think cnn has been left leaning since they started, even though I think some of the b.s. I have seen on cnbc is so slanted it it reeks, I could care less that anyone watches that over another show. I don't think that any news should be shut down, and they all should questoned by anyone who watches. noone should take everything said by any news group as gosple, I remember years ago, one nbc newscast faked a car explosion to show how easily a certain car exploded when rear ended. or cbs showing our militari welding metal to a humvee and the news guy saying the govt was sending our boys to war unequiped, hello, the humvee was only intended as a troop transport, not an armored car....once in the 80's local abc news hired local actors to play the parts of homeless people for a news cast(an aquaintenct got the part!)

peeshaw there is nothing new under the sun and who's to say brian, that those reporting that fox used incorrect graphs wasn't lying? hummmmm ....nawwww
even if they were, u wouldn't believe it!

thornhappy -> RE: News Flash: New Evidence Fox 'News' is Not News (7/5/2010 8:03:03 PM)

You're confusing climatology with meteorology.  Climatologists work with long-term wide-area predictions; meteorologists work with local, short term predictions.

Both graphs are misleading. Fox graph is wrong, of course. The second graph though does not tell the whole story. People would be more interested in net gains. There has been almost none this year. Mish Shedlock gives regular good analysis about jobs if somebody is interested here is his latest:

I couldn't agree more.  Calling Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow objective only proves how much further to the left of them you are.

Objectivity occurs when the "how, when, where, what, why, and who" of a story are reported.  Not analyzed, not criticized, not glorified...reported.  Watching any show that features mainly commentary by Limbaugh, Hannity, Colmes, O'Reilly, Beck, Maddow, Olberman, etc., etc. is watching analysis from one side or the other, it is not watching news.
