LadyPact -> July Roll Call (7/3/2010 5:55:39 AM)

We're slipping, Ladies!  It's already the third and no one has opened up the Roll Call.

Can you believe the year is half over already?  I don't know where the time goes.  June for Me was an absolutely fantastic whirlwind that was full of wonderful places and people.

I was thrilled to see My son graduate from Basic Training this past month.  The timing on this was perfect as I was able to stop in at SELF for just the one day.  I also had the opportunity to visit some friends and family in Augusta.  Then Columbus and after that, off to Atlanta.  It was absolutely a wonderful trip, filled with many folks that I have missed so much.

Once home, I got to hit the Bakersfield munch.  After seeing so many old connections, I felt it was time to take Myself off of the sidelines.  I'm getting back into presenting again.  I will be doing wax there in August and organizing the "Fly By Night Slave Auction - The West Coast Version" in October.  I'm very excited about doing both and hope both events will be a wonderful success.

The last weekend in June, My little family of three were the guests of the wonderful Mercnbeth.  What a party that was!  I finally got to meet Jeff (Leadership527) and his lovely wife Carol.  They are absolutely wonderful people and we had such a great time.  I wish all of us lived closer to one another.  All of these people are absolutely fabulous.  We had so much fun.

The drawback to all of this is that it seems I am having trouble with insomnia again.  Hopefully, that will get sorted out soon.

So, let's here your news.  Where are you in July?

OttersSwim -> RE: July Roll Call (7/3/2010 6:45:00 AM)

We are preparing for Thunder in the Mountains - a big BDSM conference here in Denver.  We have ordered two custom corsets, two purple satin skirts for me (short and long), a red leather vest and skirt for my Lady, and a butterfly brocade kimono dress for me.  :)  All of these are being made by our friend Grace (http://www.kandgcreationsco.com) who does simply amazing work in fabric and leather and specializes in custom corsets.   They also make some of the best floggers we have ever seen - hardwood handles that Kirk turns himself and falls out of the most amazing leather.  YUM!

We go for a fitting tomorrow and we are SO excited...well...at least I am.  [;)]

MissAsylum -> RE: July Roll Call (7/3/2010 10:10:21 AM)

my first time doing on of these....well lets see. i'm about to graduate with a second bachelor's degree in museum science. looking to buy a condo because i'm starting to believe that 4 bedroom house is a bit too much for a 20 year old. probably am going to get a half sleeve tattoo that includes a dragon and cherry blossoms with my last name in japanese. 3 weddings to go to. engagement ring shopping for myself. nothing really special for me. just the typical early 20s shenanigans(or however you spell that)

MasterFireMaam -> RE: July Roll Call (7/3/2010 1:58:14 PM)

After much searching for a local job, We finally extended Our search nationwide. We now have three potential places, two of which We are fairly sure will make offers. So, it looks like another cross-country move is in the works. The double up-side is that We are going to take the opportunity to finally set up a live-in household. So, the boyfriend and the slave will both live with Us. Happy!

July?? Are you sure??

Well, the Calibirthday happens in two weeks or so, off to the beach to party with my peeps~ I intend to spend several days in a swimsuit!!

I am still enjoying being single WAY too much. Which is a good thing, since I am daily reminded how shallow the pool of interesting men is in this area!

Next up is getting things ready to get my Etsy store going... I am going to have some ceramic tiles in the Artomat this fall, and actually have a bunch of things to make on my NEW WORKTABLE!! (I am so easily amused...)

I wish I was going to Thunder!! (with Peon!!)

~Fast Reply~
i'm knee deep in my nursing refresher online course. i'm halfway through the theory portion of it and getting over 90% on all my tests so far. [:D] Pretty soon i will be getting all my paperwork and such done for the clinicals and lookiing for a facility to do them in. Then i should be done with the whole thing by mid-September or so, and getting ready to go back to work. Right now, during breaks from studying, i'm sewing scrubs to get ready for it. [:D] So i have a lot to look forward to. i'm tickled to death.

Oh, and also i just found out my 30 yr old daughter is a Domme. lol She's been putting her boyfriend in pink handcuffs and Dominating him, and he happens to love it as much as She does. Right on.

~sweetsub~

edited to add the second paragraph. [;)]

ourmsbetty -> RE: July Roll Call (7/3/2010 8:59:23 PM)

Hm, my first one of these, too.

I was going to do Thunder as well, but life sort of bit me.  Unfortunately, I have a divorce looming ahead of me and that sort of derailed my plans for the summer. (My idea, and yes, it's a very good thing to have happening.)

The upside is that I move into a new apartment in about 3 weeks. I find more and more that I am strongly looking forward to having a place of my own again.  Although, I will admit that the idea of decorating it has me in a mild panic.

Other than that, work is a good kind of crazy, the cats are well and so are my two legged pets.

Oh and hopefully I will be getting back into the public scene here locally near the tail end of the month, which happily means reconnecting with a few folks I've lost touch with.

Hello fellow etsian! I have 4 shops on there!

I just recently made the leap from switch to Domme, and all of the random emails that come with it. I'm still trying to find my place in this wonderland of BDSM. July means a new job, new plans to relocate to seattle in august of 2011, and trying to keep the old roof over my head in this awful economy. But every day I wake up is better than the alternative!

SnowRanger -> RE: July Roll Call (7/4/2010 12:23:38 PM)

Boy Do I feel like a piker. Everybody is doing or has done such interesting things; and, all I want to do is get through the day. Well, I am still here as my icon confirms.

Respectfully,
Mike

SthrnCom4t -> RE: July Roll Call (7/4/2010 2:52:35 PM)

Just dropping in for a minute.....

Thunder, Dragonfest, Transformation...life is 100 mph. A week ago today, Otters and I hiked a 14er. He's done several, but it was my first one.

I knew it was going to be hard. I knew I could do it. Wow, it was amazing! Tough, but expanding edges always makes me thrilled!

Transformation is that lifestyle change/challenge we started in February. I'm not quite there, but I can see the future where I become a clothes whore again. My debit card is already scared! Of course, Otters is loving the idea as he'll now have a partner in crime.

Besides working too hard between vacations, life is quite fabulous.

I think I'm feeling so thankful because my family has come and gone. I always look forward to their visit, just to realize how little I have in common with my mom. My grandma is great, and even if you have to shout at her to be heard, she at least has some common interests. Mom and I just don't gel on so many levels. I feel like I've been older than her since I was 8. Hugs, kisses, 'love you's' and off they went heading north towards WY, while we hit the gas pedal heading south to hike and camp. WIN!

Sewing projects on the horizon for the next 2 weeks, as Otters mentioned, we have things being made, but are also putting together a few things ourselves. The fabric store needs to stop having crepe satin on sale!

Instead of buying wedding rings, we decided to get piercings. Since I've had trouble in the past keeping such things in, we went last night and kept it simple with the upper ear cartilage piercings. Kinda fun, and we'll see what get's a hole in it next <wicked evil grin>!!!

So many little projects...so little time, and staff members out on personal leave, which makes my work week even longer this week. Good news, I'm not salaried. Better news, the check arrives the day Thunder starts. I'll whine now and wine later! We have such fun in hotel rooms!

Ok, off to dinner and initial fittings at G/K's. Hopefully my electronic leash (beeper) will keep quiet and not disturb our evening, however, if it does, I'll buy a new toy at Thunder, and it's a win-win!

Good to hear what's going on with the rest of you. Please do get in contact if you'll make it to our area of the woods in a few weeks!

TheLadyIsADomme -> RE: July Roll Call (7/5/2010 7:48:50 PM)

Work, work and more work for me, and not a lot of fun.

Some personal stuff going on, which is adding more stress.

I've grown very disillusioned with the "dating" scene - for some reason, I don't get nearly as many emails from trolls and wankers as the rest of you ladies - hmmm, I'm going to have to post more often. I'm feeling neglected. LOL.

Maybe my profile is not provocative enough? LMAO.

I hope everyone has a great month.

Love from the steamy, swampy Bible Belt in North Florida!

LadyDelilahDeb -> RE: July Roll Call (7/6/2010 2:17:23 AM)

Here, and June was a month of stress and surprises. My long-term sub "glanstat" suicided on June 2d. Although not a live-in, he was sufficiently a helpful fixture around the place that my vanilla sister knew and liked him, and was equally stunned. (Characteristically, he called in his own suicide, and by the time the cops got there, he was dead, leaning against the back wall of the local mortuary, with the disposable cell phone and a check to the funeral home in his briefcase.)

I've been getting accustomed to life without his service, and have begun the thankless task of sifting through the puddle of prospective playmates who match up in the slightest. (So many "sub" men think that we dominas' purpose in life is to fulfill their kinky sexual fetishes.) I would not futz with CollarMe if it had not already provided me two quality long-term submissives! (I may have used up my luck…but that's the depressive moment talking.)

On the up side, my rental home is now leased long-term to a family who plans to buy it within the next two years. I'm hoping they still feel that way after a year in place, 'cause as veterans they qualify for a VA loan, pretty much a dead cert. Meanwhile, it's no longer two mortgages on one income.

Began work towards subdividing the big ol' lot behind my home (long narrow lot with a "back forty" unused and running wild). I feel like suing the city for mis-representation to my mother (she bought it planning to sell the back half when the city put the street behind us through; I've now learned that the city cannot put the street through because they don't have right of way at either end of the block. Old titles pre-date the city plan for the lane, and they're not about to wrestle with eminent domain to get it done. (Probably waiting until the properties in question sell and transfer title…so if they get inherited, I think the neighborhood is screwed.) Bleeping bureaucrats.

Upgrading my camping gear ready for Paradise Unbound in several weeks (and Leatherwoods the week before that) but mostly plotting some rehab in the house now that I've done messing with the rental. The garage that is my playroom is unpainted, and I'm going to fix that. Rearrange the workshop end of the garage and get more leftover estate items disposed of. Tear down my temp "wallpaper" of mylar window-plastic, and apply the plum paint I scored mismixed at our local hardware store for $5, with the leftover ceiling paint to prevent it from becoming claustrophobic under the low ceiling. By that time I might have saved enough money to get a new insulated garage door!

Keeping busy in my head where it counts, and otherwise tooting along.

Lady Delilah Deb

LaTigresse -> RE: July Roll Call (7/6/2010 7:24:36 AM)

We had a wonnnnnnnnderful vacation with my family that lives in Colorado. She lives in the county with the most 14ers in Colorado and we did a lot of hiking and rock hounding. I was in heaven. A trip with two adults and 3 dogs, in a Mazda 3, is not nearly as bad as one would expect. Drove straight through and mostly at night so it worked perfectly.

I have a new fur baby, Nala, the GSD puppy my youngest sister gave me. She (the puppy) is 16 weeks old today and already 40#. Very smart and learning her manners very quickly in spite of herself. We do a lot of walking even though the bugs have been absolutely evil at my house due to all the rain we've had this year. I have bug bites on top of bug bites. But my butt and legs are benefiting from the added exercise, just not my temperament...

My little red raspberry patch went crazy this year and I've been picking almost every day for the last week. Also adding to my gnat and mosquito bite collection. BUT, there is almost 20 bags of frozen raspberries in my deep freeze and more to ripen and pick.

Last week I did a klutzy thing and stepped in a hole I knew existed and landed on my ribcage and left boob on the top of the fence I was leaning over. The boob is quite colourful and the ribcage either cracked or just seriously bruised. It hurts like a motherfucker. Even sneezing or coughing is agony and I don't want to talk about walking an excitable 40# puppy. I know I am not dying or seriously injured but it still hurts like hell and not exactly cheerful company. Only two places are comfortable, the seat in my car and my bed. It better be A LOT better by this next Saturday for motocross!!!

Between the red bumps of bug bites all over and the many bruises, I am so sexyyyyyyy![:D]

GD is taking his biggest test for securities licensing today. Lots of stressful studying has been going on at the farm. I am pretty proud of the guy, switching careers at age 46. Following his passion and dream.

My daughter has recovered 100% from her pregnancy/birth and the baby is now completely healthy and doing great. It was a scary time as a mother and grandmother, too much 'she could die from this' stuff, for both mother and baby, for my comfort.

The last few weeks I had a surprising rush of mail on the other side and even more surprising was the quality of mail. Several are keeping up some really delightful communication and a couple of those are not terribly far away. Maybe there is hope for this place after all!

Ambyant -> RE: July Roll Call (7/6/2010 9:09:35 PM)

Three more days till My flight to a month of study abroad in China!
I pushed to get all the requireds out of the way by the end of Spring Quarter and still managed to miss 2 classes.
This means more time for Me next Fall.   My studio is back up, and I'll be taking applications/auditions for model pets and helpers - but we all know that just means who is actually near enough and brave enough to step up!
My Primary will be home alone for a month - and I've arranged for some interesting situations to happen. My part-time sub will at least deliver a dinner and take the subaru out for a wash and vac - it's up to My Primary if there's any closer service to be done.  I'm betting not, but hey, the Cat's away. neh?

Thank you Lady Tiger! I do send good mail[:D]

You're too sexy for the bugs, too sexy for the fence, you're too sexy for a new grandmother, too sexy for the raspberries, too sexy for your car...

I am sorry about your boo boo on your boob.

I am so glad your child and grandchild are well and things sound great on the farm all in all.

Mistress Jeff looks like a super model today. You have added much to her life LaT!
