I remember it being an issue when I was in school in the UK circa 74-77 feeling ancient now

That's funny, I remember in the 70's (I was in school then too!) reports of scientist 'worry' as impending global cooling leading to an ice age..... who was one of the scientist? Obama's present day science czar! he claimed it was gonna freeze all the way down to n.y.! (he also believes in de-industeralizing America and forced massive population control, as in putting steralization agents in to the water system.....)read some of his papers....the guy is freeky! point is, climatologist can't predict the weather 2 days from now, (this year they perdict there will likely be between one and 14 tropical storms, and some may become hurricanes ......) everyday the weather guy says 30 percent chance of rain, or how mant times have they perdicted a sunny weeken only to awaken sat to rain? and scientist are gonna tell us we are gonna burn up in 50 years?? peeshaw!

If enough fresh water gets tossed into the North Atlantic (by melting of Arctic ice or other ice sheets), the Gulf Stream (thermohaline circulation) will shut down and yeah, it'll get pretty damn cold in the US, Canada, and the coast of Europe.

There is a huge difference between climatologist and meteorologist, and also pollution consequences. Such a shame you cant tell the difference, or rather, dont wanna know
