It does not seem like a good idea to me - it could be good for you if you have bought all that gold people say you did.

7 Potential Economic Effects Of A War With Iran

As each day passes, war in the Middle East seems increasingly likely. The truth is that Israel will never allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons, and Iran is absolutely determined to continue developing a nuclear program. So right now Israel and Iran are engaged in a really bizarre game of "nuclear chicken" and neither side is showing any sign of blinking. In fact, even prominent world leaders are now openly stating that it is basically inevitable that Israel is going to strike Iran. For example, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi recently made the stunning admission that the G8 nations "absolutely believe" that Israel will attack Iran. But a conflict between Israel and Iran would not just affect the Middle East - it would have staggering implications for the rest of the globe.

So just what would a war between Israel and Iran mean for the world economy?

The following are 7 potential economic effects of a conflict between Israel and Iran....

We must as a country STOP making decisions based on oil…I don’t mean stop supporting Israel but stop being afraid to do what is necessary regardless what it does to our pocketbook…hummm I mean the oil barons pocketbooks.

Which should you worry more about… the price of gas or a religious fanatic with a finger on a button that could kill billions? Do you think it will be easy to get oil in a nuclear wasteland?

Billions Butch ?  I dont think the drama classes were worth the money.

I agree America needs to stop basing foreign policy on oil resources though.

Weather is much clearer over San Diego. Would you settle for it as Plan B?

It depends on if it stops between just the US and Iran...but what if Korea or Russia decides to join in... don't forget Pakistan, India, and China. At first I did put millions but I think there would be the possibility of a world wide nuclear war that could take billions... don't you think?

The weather doesn't matter. We'll go get 'em whenever the Queen of England tells us to. Even if it's sprinkling or something.

I think Billions is scaremongering, considering Iran havent got any nuclear weapons yet, and the other nations are unlikely to use them. You missed France, Israel and the UK from the list.

The Uk doesn't belong on the list, though, as it lacks the capacity to make a nuclear strike without America's permission.

Nah... UK and France are too wishy washy to ever use them... and Israel is part of the US isn't it?. So... you advocate waiting until they do have the ability to turn the UK to a cinder? I mean lets be fair ...if the UK and US have nuclear weapons why do we have the right to try and stop them...They are just peace loving people that want to be left alone to murder their gays and adulterers.

Did not stop our Georgie boy from attacking Iraq. We could just pretend Iran has Nukes and see where the "fun" takes us.

Your right Butch, lets nuke everyone, just in case. You dont usually come across as this stupid. Its idiotic to think its okay to nuke a country just because the leader is stupid, now watch this drive.

Probably because the US hasn't declared war on either country it's currently occupying.

Precisely how are they going to nuke the UK from Iran? Even if they do get a working nuclear bomb assembled (which is bloody unlikely, whatever shite Amadinnahjacket is spouting this week) they don't have a delivery system for it. Even if they managed both, it's nothing for anybody besides Israel to worry about.

You must tell me where I advocated nuking anyone... but something must be done to control nuclear weapons...If that means removing Iran's capability then so be it.

I'm afraid there has been too many years since the last use of these weapons and too many people have passed who remember. Now people don't really understand their power and what can happen when bombs hundreds of times more powerful, then those used on Japan, are unleashed.

Do you remember? If you did billions would not be so farfetched to you.

They can reach a few thousand miles I believe...but I guess you would wait until they can deliver anywhere in the world? I hope they come to their senses and realize they are better off without a bomb and the threat to their citizens having one creates. As far as that goes i wish we had a world wide complete nuclear disarmament enforced by the UN with teeth. But until then we will be forced to be the policemen.
