Everyone is entitled to his opinion. The problem is that many of them seem to think their opinion is the right one and everyone else needs it shoved down her throat...in a manner of speaking grins. Political discourse, discussion and yes, debate, is fine...but if all one can do is call names and otherwise demean the character of someone of the opposite opinion, it no longer is discourse, discussion or debate. It's more like little boys on the playground.

I've found as many of these threads as I can (they're all in Off Topic Discussion) and reported them all to ModOne. I don't think the moderators are aware of this. (If you read through the threads and see who has responded to them--and when--you'll find a very interesting pattern.)

XI It doesn't bother me in the least if someone takes on a screen name to put out an opinion that that person doesn't necessarily want to be associated with. In fact, it might be nice if we had some kind of "anonymous" mode for some postings so people would feel freer to say some things. But maybe there's a downside that I don't recognize. Maybe it encourages irresponsibility. I only find these multiple new names amusing.

They are in no way different from a computer hacker that write viruses and mess with people just because they can. The fact that this is the same person under different names and that they keep coming back is indicative of some pathology and is nothing more than a disturbing cry for attention. It has zero to do with alternate lifestyles and the fact that we don't follow the "normal" ideas.
