See here for background.

What does this signify to you?

Oh bull shit.

The finance reform bill is a joke.

It signifies that Wall Street is finally realizing that when you try and walk on both sides of the fence you are guaranteed to wind up stepping in manure. As long as the Democrats play the game of demonizing capitalism in public while trying to woo big business in private, fund raising is going to be a hurdle.

A lot of people are just now beginning to wake up to how radical the Democrat party has become. Your article describes what is currently happening as a revolt, and I believe thats the proper term for what we are beginning to see in terms of the popular reaction to the current power structure.

End of May numbers
DCCC $28.6M cash on hand
NRCC $16M cash on hand

DSCC $17.6M cash on hand
NRSC $18.1M cash on hand

If I was a gop strategist I'd want a lot more cash on hand for the Senate if they want to win control. There 4 highest profile candidates for open and/or vulnerable seats are going to need huge infusions of cash for "issue ads" to counter their own stupid remarks and bizarre positions.

The situation for the House GOP is bleak period.

Why are welfare bums donating to anything?

If by "bleak" you mean they will only have a small majority after November, youre right on.

Get used to Speaker Pelosi. Reid may not be majority leader in January but it won't be DeMint or McConnel or any other republican.

Your bush nationalizing the banks........now that was radical.

pahunkboy -> RE: Democrats Losing Wall Street Donors (7/6/2010 1:48:39 PM)

Consider tho- now that corporations have free speech rights= and there is your answer for the elections.

Nineveh -> RE: Democrats Losing Wall Street Donors (7/6/2010 1:55:47 PM)

Considering the Democrats are losing wall street support for their watered down bill it would have been sweet if they would have passed a real, meaningful finance reform bill.

pahunkboy -> RE: Democrats Losing Wall Street Donors (7/6/2010 2:00:34 PM)

-- we do not need a new bill.

Just re-instate Glass Steagall. and do 1207.

Owner59 -> RE: Democrats Losing Wall Street Donors (7/6/2010 2:01:55 PM)

Consider PAhunk, that corporations.......multi-national corporations,<grim music> control more money than the Feds do.

Basically giving them the resources to buy every minute of ad time available. Now they can spend what amount they want on PR and elections.

Basically giving them the resources to buy every minute of ad time available.

Yea I agree seeing how it was Bush crying to bail out Wall Street and not Obama.

It seems all the news with the GOP supporting BP, and fighting WS reform will bite them in the ass
