Rule -> Apple scam or not? (7/8/2010 8:58:43 AM)

I quote from a letter by Apple:

quote:

Upon investigation, we were stunned to find that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong. Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength.

Did Apple purposely and slyly deceive and scam its customers by presenting a false signal strength indication in order to improperly compete with other mobile phone brands or not? Were they truly stunned, or were they caught red-handed?

Knowing how RF is tested.... There is no way they did NOT know....

That being said when working for a well known Cellular Amplifier Company no matter what we found if it passed the Testing RF cage it Passed and was within Spec.

The fact that the iPhone LIES about what it has as far as signal strength has to do not with a formula, it's called a formula, but it is programmed that when this happens this needs to be displayed... To make what happens happen it had to be prpgrammed into the formula, it isn't accidental.

They are Full of Shit and sold a product that was not ready for market.
