Rule -> Apple scam or not? (7/8/2010 8:58:43 AM)

I quote from a letter by Apple: quote:
Upon investigation, we were stunned to find that the formula we use to calculate how many bars of signal strength to display is totally wrong. Our formula, in many instances, mistakenly displays 2 more bars than it should for a given signal strength. [:-][8|] Did Apple purposely and slyly deceive and scam its customers by presenting a false signal strength indication in order to improperly compete with other mobile phone brands or not? Were they truly stunned, or were they caught red-handed?
