I never understood the distinctions pro live advocates make in rape cases. Is a fetus resulting from rape less alive, less worthy of their protection?. If you truly believe that life begins at conception/very early during a pregnancy, how come it would be acceptable to have an abortion in case of rape? According to their believe system, it is innocent life being killed. Being a product of rape does not make the fetus less alive or less innocent.

I was talking (writing) about what I perceive to be a rather large, hypocritical hole in what most pro life activists tout, when they want to make an exception for rape victims and allow them abortions.
If they believe that life begins at conception, than the fetus conceived due to rape is no less worthy of protection than any other.

All I said was, that she at least is consequent in her views. Nowhere did I state that I would agree with what she wants.

For the record, while I am against abortion, I also live in the real world, and that leaves me no other option than to be pro choice.


Edit 'cause I will never learn to keep than/then straight.

DomKen, sure! Just off the top of my head how about Lindsey Graham! The Dems in this state consider him, "one of our own!"
A few years ago one of the Dems on t.v. during his reelection called Graham, "the best Democratic senator S. Carolina's ever had!"

Frankly, I think the Chimpanzee at Circus Circus would be better than either of them, but since I don't live in Nv the point is moot.
