Termyn8or -> Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/9/2010 3:59:45 PM)

http://news.coinupdate.com/largest-private-refinery-discovers-gold-plated-tungsten-bar-0171/

I also read a story about these bars being paid to China where they were traced back to Fort Knox. While I'll not reveal that source, Google will find enough on the subject that it's not likely to be some wild conspiracy theory.

But the point is, if the US government will resort to such a scam, what else would they do ? Again I don't believe everything I read from any source. But there comes a time when there is too much coincidence and the sane must accept the possiblity that things are not what they seem. That we are being lied to by the mainstream. That even the crackpots are right sometimes.

Has it come to this ? With these particular times, I think it possible. For the government to cheat ? Say it ain't so.

What's more supposedly the fake gold sent to China from the US was discovered when the Chinese drilled into it, as the density of tungsten is nearly identical to that of gold, making detection impossible without actually cutting or drilling it. So what impelled the Chinese to take a drill to a gold bar ? Have we lost that much credibility and trust ?

I think so, and for good reason. We are told day after day that all intentions of the US government are purely altruistic, even the bloody wars. What if those in other countries know a few other things and have drawn the conclusion that we are not to be trusted.

People who know are dismayed by the fact that Obama turned down foreign aid to do something about the oil problem in the gulf. How many remember when some European country (don't remember which) refused US aid after a natural disaster a few years ago ? Why would they do that ?

I did not watch the video BTW. But the fact is searching for the proper terms, there are just too many hits to be considered purely coincidence. And there is no way in hell this is an accident, unless there is some new sort of philosopher's stone that turns only the core of gold bullion into tungsten. Someone did it on purpose.

On the physical side, if  enough clearance is left on the tungsten bar the gold plating can be marked or scratched deeply enough to convince many. So now we need destructive testing of every piece of gold in the world ?

From a scientific standpoint, perhaps a non destructive way can be found. Tungsten has a whole lot more hardness and elasticity than gold, and therefore might be detectable sonically. I am not sure if Xraying would work, because of the very close densities of the two metals.

Don't pour your life into it, but I encourage you to at least do a search and see what you find. I don't expect you to believe me 100% anymore than anyone else. But the fact is, if the US government has resorted to this type of chicanery, we now have a situation where not only is our currency no good, even our gold is no good. Think of the ramifications.

That's crazy.

If you're going to rip someone off, rip off, like, Malawi or Laos or somewhere. Not fucking China.

Termyn8or -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/9/2010 4:23:36 PM)

Agreed, but what makes sense to us doesn't always make sense to them. From what I read it was simply shipped back quietly, and maybe the benevolent and ever honest Chinese just realized it was a mistake and a shipment of the real stuff was sent afterwards with a private apology.

There has been no followup. But I can say this much, if it really happened and was not quietly corrected, it will be damn hard to keep a lid on it. All I can do is wait.

But the substantial part is that this idea was discoverd somewhere. Who knows how much of it may be going on ? Maybe they actually have screwed other and it simply hasn't been discovered. In that case those on the insode of higher finance will know, and there will probably alot more drill bits coming out in the world. These bullion are marked with unique IDs as to the point of origin. There is no way to say that it came from somewhere else, as would be the first defense of anyone who for example took a counterfeit bill, or even the counterfeiter himself.

Aneirin -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/9/2010 5:33:57 PM)

But given gold bars from Fort Knox have been discovered to have a core of tungsten, just what does that suggest about other bars of gold in Fort Knox, could it in fact be all the gold in Fort Knox is not pure gold ?

If such a thing is possible, or indeed true, just what will that do to the US economy and by that the world economy.

But to have a core of tungsten what is this saying, could it be by saying a country has x reserves of gold thus making them whatever kind of country, they are in fact weaker than they claim, they have knowingly or not ,not only deceived their own country, but they have deceived the world.

But the question is, was the gold ever there, if it was, who has it now.

I bet Pahunk has an idea.

pahunkboy -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/9/2010 5:57:07 PM)

hello.

The tungsten  was pulled off because it weighs the same.   They traced this scam back to as early as Clinton- tho it could have occurred earlier.

The US holds Germanys gold.   Which they have asked for it back- and to no avail.

WW2 saw alot of crooked theft-looting of gold.

As to me being personally effected-  no.  I could never afford a 400 oz bar.   Even some of the fake coins- if bought at the right price- well the silver ones- at times the fakes can have as much value as the real ones.

As to Fort Knox- I have no idea what is there.  But keep in mind that gold is leased out.   We also hold some other countries gold- I forget who else- they too have requested that we return it.

IMO  the big wealthy - some how own the gold.  This would not really be any country- but a wealthy family- like the Rothschild, DuPont, Rockefeller- pick one.

Think of it this way-  every thing is set up for the house to win.  so then the question- who or what is the house.  If you think- it is the middle class in America-   those days are all but over..... if they ever existed at all.

:-)

Personally I dislike the stuff, it is largely useless as a material and drenched in blood and suffering. It is a metal that brings out the worst in humanity, all the negatives in the search for the stuff. I even wonder if it is metal can have a memory, all those gold wedding rings, what experiences has that metal seen, could it even be faith in a band of gold is marriage's undoing, the negative energy picked up in previous incarnations comes out with the new wearer, such things as deceit, white lies and othe minor sculduggery common in many so called loving relationships, negatives if left unchecked rise into larger things resulting in the destruction of people. What's noble about gold.

Now silver I have a healthy respect for, as it has a great use to humanity, for it is very effective in the destruction of bacterial growth such that it has been long known as a water purifier and the metal itself can be sterilised by immersion in water so much so surgical instruments of the past were often made from silver. Water purification equipment features much use of the stuff as does medical dressings in hospitals, that effective it is. Silver is a human helper, it helps us to combat those things in our world that are harmful to us, just in the action of day to day living and the requirement for potable water.

But iron is fast becoming my material of choice, a much underated material with an organic beauty of it's own besides it's use in so many things we need. All one needs is a hot reducing fire and what tools we desire can be made.

thornhappy -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/9/2010 7:49:32 PM)

I found references about this all the way back to 2006 (an ebay report) and PopSci in 2008...looks like an old problem.  The PopSci article references some fake gold held in the central bank in Africa; the core was steel.  Other references (in 2009) are to fake gold in Hong Kong where the fingers were pointed at the Chinese, who then pointed the fingers at the Clinton administration.

However, if you look up "fort knox gold fraud" all the sites that come up are conspiracy sites.

Probably need to sit this one out for awhile until some real news comes out.

Elisabella -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/9/2010 7:56:15 PM)

quote:

What's noble about gold.

Gold is an ancient metal of wealth, commerce and beauty, but it also has a number of unique properties that make it invaluable to industy. These properties include:

• Resistance to corrosion
• Electrical conductivity
• Ductility and malleability
• Infrared (heat) reflectivity
• Thermal conductivity

Gold’s superior electrical conductivity, malleability, and resistance to corrosion have made it vital to the manufacture of components used in a wide range of electronic products and equipment, including computers, telephones, cellular phones, and home appliances.

Gold has extraordinarily high reflective powers that are relied upon in the shielding that protects spacecrafts and satellites from solar radiation and in industrial and medical lasers that use gold-coated reflectors to focus light energy. And because gold is biologically inactive, it has become a vital tool for medical research and is even used in the direct treatment of arthritis and other intractable diseases.

Termyn8or -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 12:11:11 AM)

"they too have requested that we return it. "

Maybe that's what China requested ? Thus the shipment. It can all be done on paper now, even electronically, but for some reason the physical shipment was required. Think about that, why ? I don't really want to be responsible for other people's shit, it doesn't make sense.

But it does make sense if you intend to run a scam on six billion people.

Hunky, are you now getting a fucking glimpse of what I am trying to say ?

Lookit, we can't control the weather. A storm could roll in at any time. It would be better to use one's intellect to get an idea of what will haqppen or at the very least what MUST happen. And it will happen. The big one. OK, now let's assume the big boys know about this, but are mum about it for good reason. I can think of several.

So forward on with this, what does it all mean in a nutshell ? It means that as long as profit exists they will seek it. That means as long as they can see something to take, they will take it. It is their power and their might that makes this "right".

So forward on again, and this is the fulcrum. We now import a hell of alot of food, some of it used to feed our soldiers all over the world. Don't get into farm subsidies now, pay tension !

As the dollar's value erodes, this makes for an unfavorable exchange rate, and I am sure you know that but I think you need rerooted once in a while. With all the imported weapons and components of other used by the US military now, this is going to contribute to the detriment of our economy.

In business, if you can't separate the top line from the bottom line you are not going to be in business. Interest alone is killing us, and now we have these goddam idiots who want to impose all these fucked up more crippling regulations on our industry, and yet some limeys fuck up one of the most beautiful places in this region.

The end result is in my other thread, which got fucked up by the usuald and that problem is "being worked on". Mankind is so predisposed to self destruction today it amazes me.

Now I have considered my perspective of course and have determined a thing or two. The best thing to do is get out of the human race.

That does not mean to die or become not human, it just means to get out of the race. Why do we need to race anyway ? I never understood it in myself and I doubt I will understand it in others. I had it, and had it bad. I had to have the fastest car I could get, the most money, the bestest of everything. And NEVER ever run out of money, or weed or beer or sometimes other things. That's the past.

Perhaps greed is a manifestation of man's competitive spirit. I can can accept that, but at the very least it has gone too far.

Can anyone think past next week these days ? Really or really not ?

Here's for you Hunky, think past all the bullshit and tell me what you personally think is going to happen in your own words. So many times you have been damnned by the words of another, those who are fixated like Chapman and Alex.

By now you should know what is going on and therefore have some sort of idea of exactly what form the collapse will take, unless you take my ideas on it.

Redirect yourself. Anywhere. Get on a different path, if it doesn't work turn back and be very scrutinizing about that. Get that kid out of the candy store. You get too hyper. Mark my words if you like, but you are not stupid, just under the wrong influence.

I urge you to grow beyond these impulsive tendencies. You get so excited over one thing or another that you not only invite, but sometimes start a flame war. How does that do any good ?

Now I wonder about those helvevcticas they were selling under melt. Why the hell would anyone sell anything under melt, and actually spend the money to advertise to do it ! ?

Bullshit is on both sides of the fence.

"• Resistance to corrosion
• Electrical conductivity
• Ductility and malleability
• Infrared (heat) reflectivity
• Thermal conductivity "

I appreciate the , whatever, but point by point :

*Resistance to corrosion

Yes. That is the nature of the phrase "acid test".

*Electrical conductivity

Gold's electrical conducitivity is only exceeded by that of silver.
I mean in the inclusive 104 (periodic table)

*Ductility and malleability

Gold can be literally one atom thinck on your family Bible. You can easily make waire out of it of course, but copper causes less problems. Copper is much more practical for electric wires.

*Infrared (heat) reflectivity

That is one of the very few really unique traits. This was probably discovered by spectrogram, which is beyond the scope of this post. But it comes back to something that people had a hard time about - the FEEL. You, if you like gold should be able to just feel something and know it is gold. That plus the softness provides the tactile clues even for the blind.

*Thermal conductivity

Not sure on this, but if it differs from tungsten it could be detected I think.

But do they want to ?

Termyn8or -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 1:06:43 AM)

Now comes something from another source. And don't ask.

It is possible that the Chinese saw something in the depths of the identifying engravings that made then suspicious. That would be be slight lightening of the color of the metal at the bottom points, almost unnoticeable. But someone may have been there who really knows what they're doing, and decided that it was worthy of investigation by drill bit.

Mind you this was the core of a verbal response to the same assertions I made here, but from someone in the banking industry.

If pure gold is so malleable, and the electroplating process is what we think it is, this is very possible. This is what she said and I can't really argue because it makes sense. But is it true or is all of this just bullshit ? She doesn't know or pretend to know, neither do I. I just callem as I seeum.

Really none of this shit is proven at all, but whe you get fourteen million fucking hits on Google sometimes you have to give it a bit of thought.

Enough for now. I'll go find somewhre to cause some troble, if it kills me.

Aneirin -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 4:44:47 AM)

Gold was only called noble because it was resistant to attack from most things thus remains bright. Silver is classed as semi noble, as it does tarnish, goes yellowy and that caused by sulphur. So I have used it in the past to discern whether I lived in a high sulphur area, the sulphur being in diesel exhaust fumes and living next to a major road, my silver went yellow at an alarming rate and guess what no matter how much we kept the windows shut, those fumes got into the house, we were breathing them all the time. I even fitted air cleaners in each room, but a filter that was according to the manufacturers to be cleaned every six months required monthly cleaning it was that choked with black soot.

Gold though I have vapourised it and before it did, smelting it curious to see green fumes coming from it, it is linked to the colour green so much so it can be beaten so thin it transmits light and of that light it is green light.

Metals though, my interest is their mechanical properties and their effect when worn next to the skin,as jewellery, not so much their material worth.

The making and wearing of an iron ring awakened me to the interesting properties of pure iron, it does not rust as expected and that due to the silica present in iron, almost a glass surface inhibiting corrosion and there my current aim, iron jewellery.

Gold, I intend to find, as everything I use I recover myself from the enviroment. I have found gold bearing water courses and am wondering about the extracting of the one gramme of gold per metric tonne of sea water, as the quantities I need for my work are miniscule, only enough to be a corrosion resistant inlay and not of material worth, which is part of the statement I am making with my designs.

Hillwilliam -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 7:13:50 AM)

Easy way to tell if a gold bar has been adulterated.  Specific gravity.

thornhappy -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 10:35:08 AM)

They're almost identical....19.3 (Au) vs. 19.25 (W)

pahunkboy -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 10:51:19 AM)

Term,

I do not know what you are saying. Put it this way- it wont change my strategy. My tax refund just went to where? PMs. Open up a cell phone. The gold on the chip is gold. gather enough of them and you have a slice of the pie.

Besides it is not like I have big money. Gold is for people with a few hundred thousand in cash.

I am in for the long haul... and if I am wrong- then shit happens.

thornhappy -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 10:55:18 AM)

Most of the digital chips use copper and aluminum.  The RF/microwave chips tend towards gold.

Termyn8or -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 1:25:54 PM)

Hill, the reason tungsten was chosen is specically because it cannot be told by specific gravity. And it is the only metal known that can do it. But at $10-30 a pound, I guess it looked pretty good.

The mass per volume is actually very close, by some methods of measurement to the third decimal place. Lead does not qualify, bars with iron or steel cores were discovered in the past, but they all did not weigh enough and were detected. The use of tungsten has made that method of detection obsolete. Got it ?

Aneirin -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 1:41:48 PM)

Basically what you are saying is seeing as it has been found to have adulterated gold made as payment to an important country, whether known about or not, there is a possibility that other gold in it's physical form is also the same, which brings me back to post  number  #4, there is a high possibility shit will hit the fan big time if it is proved to be true.

pahunkboy -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 1:49:08 PM)

Gold and silver- is a threat to the bankers.

Want to shake them up?

Hoard your own stack. Each ounce takes from them. It may seem small- but it is true.

Aneirin -> RE: Gold ? Hunky will be pissed (7/10/2010 5:29:36 PM)

I have my growing pile of recovered scrap. I may use it for jewellery purposes or just let it grow. Being at college it amazes me to understand what other students think off offcuts of silver, worthless to them, but I collect it all and add it to my pile. I was taught silvercraft by a professional who taught me scrap recovered has worth and nothing is considered a consumable when it is one's livelihood is on the line, as everything has monetary value. I even collect broken piercing saw blades, as I have a piercing saw that is fully adjustable and will fit even the smallest broken blade, the result being in the three years I have been there, I have yet to purchase a blade to do a job, the same with silver for the purposes of solder, for what I use I scrounge from the discarded.
