Goodness, someone died young through no fault of her own, without having done anything edgy to bring it on, and her full name is splashed across the news to humiliate her family.

This is so sad on so many levels. There's no mention if she had been in a higher risk group for heart attacks, because of being on birth control pills and smoking, that at least might have helped to save other lives.

So...I wonder now if vibes will come with warnings, something like "BEWARE, you might die with a smile on your face."

More over than that.... if she were having sex at the time.... it is likely she would have died as well.

Still trying to figure out why the Viberator and Pornographic images on the computer were news at all.

This is why I think new is irresponsible today.... Anything to put something in your face.

Me too. There was nothing worth reporting in this beyond that a young woman died. The rest should have stayed private.

Wow. If I died that way I hope my girlfriend would at least think to put more socially acceptable porn on my computer than what I really watch. Can you imagine the publicity Kink.com would get for the Training of O or Public Disgrace?

I have to say, I haven't seen the name(s) at all reported in the press.

It always come down to family offering monies in return for names. Once that happens, they become public property (reason why it is illegal for the press to go after Jade Goodys children when they are with their father - because he has never sold his story with them as part of the package.

It's a coroners report, public record, free for the press.(Unless otherwise stated).

Not backward, just different. LOL Actually in some ways they're a lot more progressive than here in the US. I'm learning quite a few things that I didn't know as the UK is Sir's country of origin.

Yep, you're right there. I've seen the name of the 3 year old several times posted. Hopefully at 3 years old she will not have as tough a time.

Seems families are quite often only too willing to sell out and get their 15 minutes in the sun. I feel for the children, there and here. The kids have to go to school, etc., and its going to be difficult for them. I remember well the case here of the Police Chief that shot his wife and then himself, left 2 kids behind. Sad, sad, sad. The kids are the ones that have to live with the aftermath.

I guess there are always loopholes. Ways for the press to get around laws intended to protect minors. Just because a paper has a right to publish what they decide is newsworthy, it isn't alway the correct thing to do. As for parents selling out their own chlidren for a few bucks, that is even more disgusting than shaming the family of a deceased individual, just to sell a story. Sometimes, people just really suck.

The better headline for this story is that one in three women will die from heart disease. Her age and gender are the story, not what she had in her room or in her hand when she passed away. This is tragic because that's completely overlooked by a priggish and titillated journalist.

This is why I stopped following the news. Ever since I saw an article about a man who went and beat his Dungeon master with a hammer, I said "Fuck it I'm done". It seems that everything and anything nowadays is going to kill you. No matter where you go, you see that little penny lying on the ground? It will magically spring up and stab you in the ankle like that kid did in Pet Cemetery.

The news serves no purpose but to scare parents. Since religion doesn't work as it used to, they now use disease and other extremities to control the masses with fear. Simply put, the news is not news, just fear.

Media can destroy anything. Because people let it. Look at celebrities. Look at Politicians. Like the CynthiaWVirginia said, All this did was bring light of a case that didn't need to and basically upset the family.

Freedom of Press is a great freedom to have, but where does the line get drawn? Not to mention, the article itself was poorly written and they could've left the name out to be sensitive, but I guess they don't teach how to be tactful anymore in journalism.

Those of you who are fans of Chuck Palahniuk may be familiar with "Guts"... his group of short stories about accidents involving masturbation.

Over 70 people have fainted while he read them.

The title made me think of that.

There would have to be something wrong with the woman's heart even if the doctor could not find it. I mean if healthy pepole could die from arousal half the population would be dead. There are however many pepole that go around with undiscovered heart defects and then high arousal can cause the heart to fail, but chances are that it would then have failed anyway the next time the woman was under some stress.

I know someone personally who is affected by an illness that becomes prominent whenever his blood pressure raises or when he's about to climax. Makes having sex an impossible feat unless he's willing to risk an aneurysm.
