Toppingfrmbottom -> How come when I shaved my lip and chin at the same time, the lip stayed soft days but not the chin (7/10/2010 2:06:10 PM)

Is that because my lip skin is softer than my chin?

Has this happend to any other girls who chose to shave off the little bit of facial hair they get, instead of wax or pluck?

Yes I am genetically a girl, before any one asks, I have always had a fine covering of fuzz on my lip and later on in life chin hairs.

No I am not looking for suggestions to wax, or pluck, or tweeze, or lazer it off.

Please don't suggest all that, as I am just looking for the answer to my question.

Personally I've never had that kind of hair but maybe you might want to speak to your dr about hormones being checked if you have such a problem? Those women I know who have such facial hair usually do because their hormones are out of whack or they have a chromosone problem.

Yeah, I have always been told it's likely having a tiny bit to much testosterone in my body. Women have some naturally but some have  to much.

It wouldn't be to much trouble to ask my dr.

Just like in men- chin hair is more coarse.  Upper lip is   a more sensitive area absolutely!  That hair will be thinner and finer.  Also consider- if you touch an area more- more blood flow = faster hair growth.  Rest your chin on your hand that kind of thing.  Totally normal.
