Only in America, bobbing for pig's feet, mudpit belly flop and an armpit serenade.

Amateurs. You want to see what our country types get up to when the heat gets to them.

Bog snorkelling, nettle eating competitions, running down the road with a burning tar barrel on their backs, chasing a lump of cheese down a hill to name but a few.

Oh and my ancestors were champion tripe fighters and shin kickers, the former being two men standing off each other with a length of tripe ( uncooked pigs belly), the aim of the game was to whip each other with it until either one gives up, or has not tripe weapon left. Shin kicking was similar, two men standing off each other wearing clog irons, the name of the game was to boot the other persons shins until they one gave up, or their shin broke. Clog irons wear iron shod clogs, typical industrial wear for the time.

But red necks I thought everything they did involved a can of petrol (gasoline)

In such games the participants have more in the way of bravado than sense.

I have a few friends who have gone every year since it started in 96.  It is a buncha fun and raises money for a good cause.

I swear I think what got the ball rolling was Jeff Foxworthy doing a thing about the Olympics being held in Atlanta and showing the releasing of the doves at the beginning, then showing a buncha good ole boys whuppin out their shotguns and shooting them.

Any reason to get wet and cool off works here in tha south!
