Obedience training, as I understand it (I could be totally wrong), is sort of like how obedience training is for dogs. Don't get upset with me, anyone - I'm not calling any of us dogs [:)] Anyway, when you take a dog to obedience training at first, they don't know what you want or what you mean and can be totally rebellious and, well, disobedient. The goal with training is to condition the dog to respond in certain ways to certain things and to get used to reining in any rebellion when their master is directing attention at them. Works the same for humans, depending on how much you respond to psychological conditioning. The thing about it is you can use it to "train" someone to respond to certain words or phrases or movements because repetition can make almost anyone do almost anything. It's not a bad technique, depending on how much you like psychological play and a bit of degradation. There are certain words that I used to hate that, when I hear them now, have me literally close to instantly physically ready, relaxed, submissive and all kinds of slutty.
