If you're Scott McInnis, you plagiarize and blame it on a staffer.

Or let a staffer write it and don't check it.

Looks like a sweetheart deal to me, and not a well done one at that.

I'm sure it is a misunderstanding.

ahh, so it's your opinion that it's no big deal, and we should let McInnis slide on the issue as well?

For a minute there, I thought you were replying to me, but on consideration, it's obvious that you are talking to the OP, ehh?

My mistake...$300k for two years, not one.

No. It was directed at you. Steven posted a news article with relevance to an ongoing gubernatorial campaign. You brought up a 23 year old story about a 45 year old event that was completely off topic.

No, what happened was that I responded to his news story, and you didn't like the fact.

Go fish.

What was your response? You don't mention McInnis, colorado, western water issues, the foundation involved or anything else having to do with the story. You're claiming that your 'somebody else did it first' whine is a response but based on that criteria the only appropriate response wuld be to post a story about the first politician ever caught plagarizing which is certainly not even an American.

Was this about Joe Biden?

Did I miss something?

Wait, let me go check.

........................................................................................................

Nope, nothing there about Biden.

What I did was preempt a certain line of leftist's attacks.

Which you immediately recognized.  And which pissed you off, and therefore decided to go for the "Firm is bad" route, rather than actually delving into the deeper issues.

Go fish.

Bullshit.

Your initial response is what is called a non sequitur. It is an attempt at diversion from the actual subject. It is a logical fallacy.

You oughta, sorta, kinda, shoulda learn what all those big words mean, DK, before you start throwing them around so freely.

It was exactly on point, and on topic: politicians who have been caught plagiarizing.

You are just pissed that you can't make it simply a partisan issue now.

Caught any fish yet?

Oh, so you didn't read the very first sentence of the linked article?

Although GOP gubernatorial candidate Scott McInnis presented his "Musings on Water" for publication as original works, portions are identical and nearly identical to an essay on water written 20 years earlier by now-Colorado Supreme Court Justice Gregory J. Hobbs.

Try again.  You really should ... yanno ... read the article under discussion.  Party is mentioned as the frigging second word!

So when are you going to post anything about the topic, rather than attacking me because I posted a "pre-rebuttal" to your favorite leftist line of attack?

You don't seem to be very much of an angler, man.

Both are wrong. Firm is simply saying the same judgment we used in our early twenties is the same judgment that should be utilized throughout our lives.
