It's a very plausible scenario.

With these Drudge report headlines hanging over their heads...

quote:

'CREDIBILITY CRISIS'
'White House waving white flag'...
Panic button...
WIRE: Dems show signs of battle fatigue...
Federal deficit gap tops $1 trillion through June...
Republicans propose cutting Obama budget...

Democrats could well be tempted to make that jump, come 2012.

How about a bet on which liberal poster will turn on Pres. Obama first, if she does resign as Sec. State next year to have a run at it?

This makes no sense to me whatsoever.  The basic premise is that those who have tired of Obama will look for a not-Obama, and that that will be Hillary.

Um, she's been Sec'y of State under him.  How can you not like his policies and yet go with one of his Cabinet members?

It makes perfect sense, Steve. These are liberals. It isn't possible for their ideas to be wrong, only for an individual to fail at implementing them.

Frankly, if he is fucking up badly enough that a Palin/Nugent ticket is starting to look viable, I hope like hell he is challenged from within the party.

HRC is never going to primary Obama. She's just not that dumb. Although I guess the GOP has settled on the only viable strategy for 2012 is to try and get a Obama a major primary challenger because they know incumbents with serious primary's don't win re-election. Although really Palin/Gingrich/whoever has no chance in 2012.

Yes, if it were a conservative president, no conservatives would run against the president. It is called 'fanaticism'. Conservatives in the USA, are generally unable to think for themselves. Fortunately, they have conservative talk radio and Fox News to give them all they need to know. They dont need to clutter their minds with stuff like the US Constitution or, critical thinking.

Liberals on the other hand, are more individualistic in their approach to politics. Generally, better educated and professional. And usually much more mature on religion and politics.

If Hillary Clinton were to run, that would be her choice. I'm sure Mr. Obama would welcome a good debate, with someone that can think for themselves; and not on mere sound bites. I'm sure, we would have much deeper level thinking going on, instead of the mindless ramblings on Fox News.

That could be interesting. Apart from anything else, it'd be fun to see if the Repukes still hold Hilary Clinton to be the most evil thing in the world, or whether they'll have warmed to her a bit after four years under the Kenyan.
