CynthiaWVirginia -> RE: Alan Rickman... (7/14/2010 3:17:45 AM)

Ooooh, Rickmaniacs here!  An old fan club of his was on EZ Board (and was hacked) and most of everything was lost.  If my old computer is ever revived, I saved lots of pix from that site.

I'll never be able to access my old yahoo name, cuz the password is lost...but that is where I saved a link to a music video Alan Rickman did that was hawt.  At that site listed in this thread, I saw a pic from it, it was number 2:13, and was from the video In Demand.  I want that link so bad!  They did a tango at a gas station that...um...would get me into trouble with Rima if she were psychic, lol.

Btw...I even have the extended version of Mesmer (the HANDS *fans herself*), the extended european version of Robin Hood; Prince of Thieves, and...Rasputin.  Has anyone else seen Rasputin?

I have a large collection of his movies...oh, I also love Blow Dry...anyone seen that?  He's an ex-hubby whose wife...left him...for another woman, lol.  It was fun and sad but mostly fun.  Gawd, when his "son" let that girl practice dying the hair of cadavers and she got scared and they got locked out of the funeral parlor...and the funeral was the next day and the deceased had something like an orange mohawk...

I had one called Judas Kiss, but it's best to not even mention his accent on that one.  Um...anyone seen The January Man?  Oooh, that one was nice.  I can't even remember Michael Collins or Bob Roberts well, so I'll have to see them again soon.  I loved Something the Lord Made about doctor who helped blue babies.  Has anyone else seen Close My Eyes

I found Return of the Native, a book he read on casette tape, and I ordered it either through Walmart.com or Amazon.com and have never been able to listen to all the way through. *sighs*  I am such a voice perv.

This old computer I'm on cannot play videos, but someday...I will get one that can or fix my old one...and then I will get a copy of that music video since it's not available any possible way else.  (Considers writing his secretary, if he has the same one...if I can find the address again...and asking how to get that.)

I have his real live autographs, straight from him.  Neener neener neener.  The girls had a cow when they made me take pix of the envelopes and stuff...and they espied that he had signed the envelope that held the pix.  He had also sent me a calender.

We need a list in here of all the work he's done and see what all we've got between all of us.

If anyone has already seen Snow Cake...I want spoilers!  If anyone knows where TARF relocated, I'd love to find it.  Can't.  :(  I'm so glad I didn't toss out my old XP, because someone I know told me to buy some part and try to do it myself.  I plan to, but probably next month.

I have finished only one of my son's HP curtains, and it's been over two years since I worked on that quilt...my son also has "robes" HP style, and we have lovely wands.  Yup, when an HP movie plays, others in line go OMG, lol.  My 70 year old mom is also with us with her wand and we are both there to drool over Professor Snape. [:D]

I wish I remember which group did that song, In Demand, and if the link still works.  I doubt they would sell that music video.  I probably forgot most of the movies I have of him.

Oh...Quigley Down Under, Dogma, Bottle Shock, Perfume, Dark Harbor, Closet Land, Die Hard (the first and the one with that flash back), and um...drat, I'm tired, lol.  All the Harry Potter movies too, of course.

It's amazing that he'd had a speech impediment, and turned to theater to help him with it.  I just love it when an actor has theater training...it makes some of the men very aware of body language, much moreso than someone in Hollywood who gets "discovered" and who has had no training.

Mesmer is a movie a lot of us had a love/hate relationship with, because we hated how it ended...but it was worth watching just to observe how he used his HANDS.  In Dark Harbor...he gets nekkie and jumps off a boat.  It was not a double...  So okay, it was at a distance, but I'd be disrespectful of The Man if I commented on comments about...ahem...something people measured when it was freezing cold and wet... [;)]  Yeah, I looked.  Yes, at closeups.  I know I'm bad but it's not my fault he got nekkie and I looked.

If anyone wants to melt into a total puddle, I'd glimpse at him in The January Man, and have a box of Kleenex handy for Truly, Madly, Deeply...where he is a ghost who haunts the woman who can't live without him.  I am a total sicko freak, because I loved Closet Land, though the entire movie was interrogation and torture...and he had to be the one to do it.

<puts bucket down to catch drool> [:D]

I... just... adore... him. Period. [:D]

Many years ago he did a ballet that was televised, with Karen Kain (sp).  Any decent Canadian knows who she is.  They performed part of Aladdin and the Forty Theives - Karen played Scheherazadde but I can't remember who Rickman played..  What is important is that the memory has stuck with me for well over 20 yearss.

Dayum!

I always thought that really good casting directors were amazing.  Look at Rickman in that vid, then as Snape...or look at the main actors of O Brother Where Art Thou, and their publicity pics.  Don't know how them folks do it!

BTW, YouTube's bleeping addictive.  I was looking for sexy Patrick Stuart vids, then got sidetracked by ST blooper reels!  You bad people!

Thank you.  The link I had before was not from youtube, and I hope that link holds up because I've had to bookmark it and wait until I can actually watch videos on a compter.  I'll probably send it to my yahoo email and then go to the library with headphones and just...overdose on it, lol.

Too late to edit the post before this one, but I want to add An Awfully Big Adventure to the list.

The actual tango (rather than a clip in another video):

That's a dance I would seriously like to be in the middle of.

VC (who also has a previously unrealised thing for Sharleen Spiteri.)

Mmmm... very sexy man who does dark and intese perfectly. Hot hot hot. I especially love hearing his special brand of sarcasm in that delish accent.

I know this is a very old thread, and I hope the mods will indulge me.
