who's a whore on the side... who's tits are real and who is better in the pole. And the dancer Fights were the WORST. For every customer I had to Tap on the shoulder for being out of line I had to break up 3 catfights in the dressingroom. We also had a No Obvious drug use policy, meaning we don't drug test but if you are seen using on property or there are signs of use at your station... you're gone.

I didn't see any of this!  EVER!  Although, I'm not the most observant person in the world, but I hate fighting and will do anything to avoid this type of confrontation.  I don't like confrontation, period.  Unless it's debate. I like that.  I never heard anyone talking about anyone else's tits, except to say that they were nice.  I'm pretty sure EVERYONE wanted their tits done, including myself.  Not everyone needed them done, though.  I saw some girls get theirs done and it was just like why?  No, they weren't big before, but they were perfect.  Now, they're just bigger, but still nice, they weren't ruined or anything.  I never heard anyone talking about who was a better dancer.  I guess it happened, but I don't know...  It's been a long time since I was a dancer, too, though.  It might be just like that now.

I did see one girl get alcohol poisoning, though.  And I'm pretty sure for a while there, everybody was snortin' lines in the bathroom.  That is until they removed all the bathroom doors.

Either it just didn't happen at your club or you didn't engage in it. Every night as I walked one of the girls to the car (We rotated that cause the girls would top out on it, so every girl that left got a Bouncer, Doorman or Floorman walk them to their car on a scheduled rotation) I would have to listen to which Dancer pissed off who and which one was Skanky, and how we needed to get classier dancers.... I heard how better each of the girls was than the other dancers NIGHTLY.

Maybe it's just two different worlds. I did this about 8 years ago and in Vegas so maybe it's just different worlds.

Could be.  I know if I saw someone that was really good, I would try to do/learn her moves, I noticed a couple of girls copying some of my moves, that was cute and flattering!  There were a few girls that could do flips and I always wished that I could do that!  I still can't do a flip, but I could do the Chinese splits and a backbend!  And, of course, I could spin on the pole and hang upside down!  But I know that there are girls that can do way better pole tricks than I can.

Not a job I had, bit one I was considered for... I was young and working for a temp agency.  They needed someone to be at a Piggly Wiggly supermarket opening in Albuquerque, greeting everyone and handing out candy to kids, wearing a pig outfit.  The agency guy was trying to sell me on how great the gig was ("Last year the pig got to ride in the VIP car with mayor Harry Kinney!"), and I just kept thinking that I was a vegetarian at the time and the pig is the first animal to get booted from the "edible" list by any religion... I ended up declining.

My first job out of college was performing necropsies (animal autopsies) on marine mammals, mostly manatees but some dolphins and whales, based out of the marine lab in Miami.  In the summer, it got ummmmmmmmm interesting.
You havent LIVED till youve been pulled over by a pissed off trooper when you have a manatee on a trailer coming across the tamiami trail.  I found out that if you get out of the vehicle with your paperwork and sit down someplace, they have to come to you.  I ALWAYS would sit on the trailer right beside the carcass. ;-)

I think it was my junior year in college, right after the first Star Wars came out and was all the rage......the local Coca Cola Bottling Company acquired these android-like robots that were operated with one of those radio transmitter boxes and a small microphone and speaker.  My job was to show up at the store that had the robot that day, sit hidden somewhere where I could see but couldn't be seen, talk in a robot-like monotone, and interact with customers by making its head turn and follow them, shake hands, ask & answer them questions, etc., so the robot, "Adds2Life2" seemed to be "alive".  It was a lot of fun.

During an election campaign I took a job phone banking for one candidate.  However in the course of the campaign I changed my mind.   I still pushed what I was paid to push....      But there were moments!!!

My current job definitely ranks as the weirdest so far. We sell insects! Imagine the joy of having literally tens of thousands of crickets all chirping away all day long. And roaches, also fun. Other bugs that squirm around and all the good stuff. Man I've learned more about herptology than I'd ever expected to know with this job. Including what the hell herptology is.

Isn't herpetology the study of amphibians?  Isn't entomology the study of insects?  I made a mistake, I thought it was only about reptiles, but apparently, it's more specific than that.

seeing you being from California...maybe that job is your start into moving into the job of "how clean is your crime scene???"

My well....weirdest job isn't quite the right word for it, but the most unwanted job I ever did was when I worked as a live-in carer over here in the UK...made me realise "thank goodness we do for that kind of work a 3 year qualification back home and aren't send off to severe disabled clients with nothing else than a lil induction"...most of the job was ok but there were some parts of it....which I could have done well without doing them during my life...however, I file it as "experience"

Heh, it's connected in this case because the bugs are feeders for the reptiles.

I thought so.  But for a moment, I wasn't sure what you were selling the insects for.

I see a programme about forensic entomology the other day. This woman is recording the decomposition of pigs and corpses in a forest to better recognise the time line of crimes. As decomposition of pigs is often used to support evidence in courts but it's coming under criticism due to the idea pigs rot at a different rate to humans.

i.e. how quick a bug eats your face is a good indicator of how long you've been lying there dead.

Fascinating stuff, alas all my jobs have been normal.
