Bush and Cheney should be indicted but they won’t be because the legal system is biased, dishonest, unequal and crooked.
Bill.

Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano says Bush and Cheney 'should have been indicted'.

Although Fox News legal analyst and former New Jersey district judge Andrew Napolitano is usually a reliable right-wing voice for the network, he has often criticized President Bush and his national security policies. When the law authorizing Bush’s wiretapping program expired in 2008, Napolitano railed against the program as an affront to the Constitution. He has also blasted Bush last year for authorizing the use of torture, saying that he had “committed a felony for each act of torture.” In an interview with Ralph Nader on C-Span this weekend, Napolitano said Bush and Vice President Cheney “should have been indicted” for torture:

I'm starting to like this guy.

This isn't the first time he has disagreed with the typical Fox bias.

Any bets on how long before they fire him?

Well worth reading:

Constitutional Chaos: What Happens When the Government Breaks Its Own Laws

In this incisive and insightful book, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano peels back the legal veneer and shows how politicians, judges, prosecutors, and bureaucrats are trampling the U.S. Constitution in the name of law and order and fighting terrorism. Napolitano reveals how they:

   * silence the First Amendment
   * shoot holes in the Second
   * break some laws to enforce others
   * entrap citizens
   * steal private property
   * seize evidence without warrant
   * imprison without charge
   * kill without cause

Pundits on the right, left, and center have praised Constitutional Chaos for its penetrating examination of our rights and liberties in the post-9/11 world.

"Has the war on terrorism taken away some of your rights? In a non-ideological way, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano answers that crucial question. This book will open your eyes."-Bill O'Reilly

"This book is a wake-up call for all who value personal freedom and limited government."-Rush Limbaugh

"In all of the American media, Judge Napolitano is the most persistent, uncompromising guardian of both the letter and the spirit of the Constitution. . ."-Nat Hentoff

I'll take a reasonable bet. Since Fox actually is fair and balanced, Im quite confident you'll be on the losing side.

Is this guy a sitting judge? If not then why does everybody call him judge...or is it a case of getting to use the title for life if you were elected once?

Nothing to do with advertising, and everything to do with watching and hearing what some of the liberal dopes working for or invited to participate on Fox say.

The latter...elected or appointed. Once a judge, always called judge, unless disrobed for a crime.

I am as much interested to see if this Napolitano will keep his job although admittedly...Bush & Cheney are history now. He wouldn't be the first to go.

Wilbur, you wouldnt know fair and balanced if they each stood in front of you wearing T shirts, one saying "fair" and the other "balanced" and waving placards with the same mottos whilst chanting "fair and balanced" before a 6ft high concrete installation spelling out the same.

On every occasion that I have the opportunity to see the US output of Fox news it just amazes me that they can say what they say in the way they say they it. Its a propaganda outlet, nothing more nothing less. Now if you agree with the content then thats one thing, but to try to say its fair and balanced would be an utterly unreasonable position. If you ever have chance to see the UK output of Fox news I'd hope you'd note the difference immediately; right of centre, certainly, more sensationalist than other outlets, certainly, but still a reasonable source of news.

The difference is not down to "socialist censorship" or any such imagined reason but down to one simple fact - that we have in the BBC and ITN news teams a standard to meet against which Fox UK, if it tried to copy Fox US, would become a joke, just as Fox US is to anyone in the US with more than a high school education and, I would wager, that should go even for those who agree with its biased content output.

On the indictment thing, no one is going to be indicted even though there are more than enough grounds to do so and secure a conviction in the public interest. The precedent set for similar resolution of future leaders' law breaking makes it something that no one whether incumbent or future hopeful would want to see for fear of facing the same themselves one day.

Wilbur is an idiot. He is more than happy to allow himself to be duped.

It was right after the towers fell that I was watching FOX, you might remember this clip. It was filmed in some sort of an open air market, I can't recall exactly where, somewhere in the Arab world. It was a tight shot and it showed about a half dozen people dancing and a woman doing the Arab "tongue thingy."

It really pissed me off to see people celebrating the death of 3,000. In the background of this "tight" shot you could see a few people in the background gawking at the performers. These people were "performing" for the camera. The piece worked because it made you angry watching it even though it was 100% manipulation on the part of FOX.

There was a piece run by the BBC about the U.S. media. It utilized BBC footage of the Iran hostage crisis that occurred in 1980 against that which was aired by the U.S. networks.

This is how it worked. The news agencies told the Iranian students when they would be "shooting" in the square in Tehran....The students would show up and burn American flags and chant anti U.S. rhetoric. The camera angles were always tight. It appeared as if thousands of Iranians were at these rallies.

The BBC filmed from the far end of the square with their cameras shooting down on the square from an elevated position. You could see the U.S. media arrive and the students would gather, filling only a small portion of one end of the square....Maybe only several hundred demonstrators. When the cameras stopped shooting the crowd would mull around and slowly disband.

It was a media created event and it was manipulated to make it look like the entire square was full of people protesting the United States. It was poor and shitty journalism.

People like wilbur want to be manipulated. They will watch and believe anything that supports their core beliefs whether it is factual or not. They enjoy being led around by the nose.

People like wilbur, servant and so many others are incapable of questioning their news source. They love to stew in their own ignorance.

Be honest, you want them indicted because they are rich, right wing and religous. The three R's you hate the most.

The law doesn't treat everybody equally, that's a fallacy. We all know this anyway because it's obvious.

How many unjustified wars have you got away with recently? How many people have you been able to torture to get information out of recently. Even if I was to torture a terrorist I captured in my garden (for national security) I'd be imprisoned.

Who the hell is still naive enough to think people in power follow the same rules we all do?
