I'm looking to pick up some work doing phone sex, but don't really know where to start. I know there are a few current and former PSOs who frequent the boards and I was hoping I could benefit from your expertise [:)] So, can you recommend any resources for someone starting out? What should I look for in a company? What do you wish you'd known when you first started? Please and Thank you!

I spent over a month looking up (use google) pso forums, reading them voraciously, finding out about the good, the bad and the ugly, and then proceeding accordingly. It's a business that you have to research for yourself, and do your due diligence in. I treated my research as a full time job, and in the end, it paid off. Best of luck!

I have been doing a bit of research on my own, I'm just suffering from a bit of information overload--I don't have the knowledge to separate to good from the bad. Thanks for the response.

The problem is, what's good for one, (going through a dd company in which you have to troll to build up your business but make a lot more per minute) is bad for another who would be better off with a dispatch company (in which you just take the calls the company sends you...the company does all the advertising.) What's bad for everyone are companies that don't pay, treat their op's badly, or disappear with everyone's money. I also think hold time limits are bad. Most of the "bad" companies have reputations that preceed them. New pso's who are desperate or don't study the boards make the mistake of going with the bad companies. If you're careful you can avoid a lot of drama. I've only worked for the best companies and for myself. You can write to me on the other side if you like.
