lemme see: 40s - "Salt Peanuts," Charlie Parker 50s - hard to think of one RN, but there were lots to choose from. I'm leaning towards saying Jiles Perry Richardson... 60s - easy. Jimi Hendrix - he only had one song chart, "All Along The Watchtower" 70s - "Love Will Tear Us Apart," Joy Division 80s - "Safety Dance," Men Without Hats 90s - "Your Woman," Whitetown What's interesting in this: there's lots of people who are highly influential, yet never had "chart success." I doubt there's an electronic act out today that hasn't had some influence by the rest of the Men Without Hats album... but what are they known for?
