It's practically the only expansion of government power over the banks and the markets since the depression. And anyway, is it really an "expansion" if it's just taking back a small portion of the control that the Repugnantcans have been giving away over the last 25 years?

Na..... it is only a cyber wall. What's the worse that could happen?

You end up on the DL with an internet concussion.

You still get paid.

FYP = Fixed Your Post

As you can see, and this is really quite clever, Wilbur has replaced your adaptation of Republican with one of his own indicating Democrat, to make the argument that it was the Democrats, like that awful Reagan person if you remember him, who rolled back all regulation of the financial sector.

Just the way you remember it happening. Just the way it was reported at the time and to date.

Well, gee!  Since the bankers damn near crashed the international commerce system and required a $700 bil bailout, they now have some rules to follow!  Imagine that!

This reform bill is a fraud.

We should have restored Glass-Steagall, and audited the Fed.

Basically this bill will wipe out small banks... and even some credit unions.

A short while ago it was health reform, now this financial regulation crap? It seems that Maine "Republican", reptilian Senator Snowe is the first RINO to jump ship whenever the commies need a swing vote. Regulate the bank? Who are they trying to kid? The politicians are the "subs" and the Federal Reserve is the "Dom.' The politicians think they have the "gift" of submission, but it is not a gift because the government submits to the highest bidder in a prostitutional manner. Constitution? Prostitution!! Get real...

I don’t give a fuck. If they don’t use the Volker rule and put back Glass/Steagall this ‘reform’ is bullshit. Now when there will be a financial crisis in the future, instead of a vote to get money from tax payers so everyone knows about it, they will just go to the Federal Reserve and print as much money as the banks want and no one will know what they are doing. Obama is a lying dumbass like Bush who thinks we are stupid. I am very disappointed. At least they do it right in Canada.

I cite the economist M. Shedlock:
"Otherwise, I sit comfortably with my opinion that "Financial Reform was a Stunning Success", arguably the very best our wildest imaginations could ever have expected, given that it accomplished virtually nothing while doing no further major economic damage."

No, it means Willbeur is really a 15 year-old schoolgirl who uses cutesy abbreviations, paints her toenails purple, and is in love with the Jonas Brothers.
