Enjoying the various answers. When I tried a letter I'd written to a college chum, I got Raymond Chandler!, but still deeply, deeply envious of those who got Douglas Adams and Wodehouse, who with Joyce and Wodehouse are in my Top Five for prose. But David Foster Wallace's 'Brief Interviews with Hideous Men' made my eyes vomit
I think I'd marry the man who writes like Terry Pratchett, and do the man who writes like John Donne . . .

I put up a more serious piece and got Kurt Vonnegut....  Maybe it's all a crap shoot!

I am waiting for someone to get "You write like sunshinemiss"

It was duly noted, although my fans and detractors alike were already in perfect possession of the fact, that I, as well, put pen to paper in a style not dissimilar to that of Mr. P.G. Wodehouse.

I don't want to write like Ursula Le Guin or Dan Brown (well, to be fair, I've never even read Dan Brown). I am displeased. Therefore, this code does not work.

I want to write like Vladimir Nabokov, Jim Thompson, Rimbaud, and Anne Rice! Well, actually, there's no point in writing *like* them. But you know what I mean!

I got James Joyce.
Which given that the sample I gave it was from an SF story that not even the fanzines want anything to do with, is just plain taking the piss.

Just to mess with it, I used some lines from my beloved Donne, and the 'bot turned out Daniel Defoe: it got the century right, at least.

I write like J. D. Salinger.
