Status: offline 		Scary how much power someone so under-educated has. She perpetuates so much misinformation and lies about her personal life, and combined with seeing her congregation following her blindly gives you a sense of how religions form. At least she tries to use some of her power and money for good, so I hope the person who fills her void does also.

If you're referring to her actual schooling I'm not sure where that's relevant. There are plenty of well educated folk that have their heads up their ass and don't do shit with their life. just sayin.

Exactly! Imagine if George W. had to earn his degree rather than be a legacy, he would have failed, his brother couldn't have perverted the 2000 election, Gore would have really won as he numerically did, and the past decade would be just a baaaaaaad alternate reality.
And Oprah, like Prince Charles [another legacy who couldn't pass his university board exams], lacks discernment and touts bad science as truth. If she earned some degrees and got some logic skills, she could have been president.

Maybe she doesnt want to be president. I bet she does not want that. School is for people who want schooling. To make a broad sweep and say everyone should go to school because that would mean they had better life skills is so not reality. The big picture holds for way more pieces of the pie to make the whole. I would bet there are some 'uneducated' folks are as smart, or even smarter than the smartest students. School is for folks who want to go down that road and not everyone does and this does not make them less of anything except school educated. People who only see it this way that you have to go to school to be someone suck, imo.

So do dead-end jobs, cycles of poverty and dependence on the state or abusive partners. Higher education = better health, happiness and cuter spouses, whether you go to school to be an electrician, teacher or doctor.
