I dont think I'm actually dominant to anyone except my dog....

You got me thinking.  i didnt use to be dominant to my dog - but then she started chasing ppl in the neighborhood like a pit bull would scaring old and young alike.  So i trained her, limited her access to the outside.  Became more dominant.

So i looked around at my life.  There are some people i find it a very difficult time being dominant too.  Like my little one, she's really good at telling me what to do.  i have to make a concerted effort.  Other people like my neighbor, it comes oh so naturally.  Yet we still bump heads at times.  We get stuck on what to do as neither of us want to (nor mind) what ever decision needs to be made.  So i looked further back.. to all those damn guys who swore up and down "I'm Dominant!"  in a vanilla sense of course, as at the time i was looking vanillish, but knew i was attracted to Dominant men.  Yet time and time again, i turned dominant and they turned submisive.  At the time, i figured they just had no clue and actually took abit of fun turning these so called Doms submissive, using, abusing, and then tossing them aside.  (i know i'm wicked)  Part of the nature i suppose, let me walk on you and i will.  With some people my i dominant them, and others i couldnt possibly imagine it.

Leaves me to think.  While yes i can dominate, it doesnt mean i AM a Dominant.
