Hello all.  I'm not totally sure I'm in the right place for this, but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about a good place to get nipples pierced in Portland, Oregon or the surrounding area.  Also I'm wondering if anyone out there knows anything about getting through a metal detector with nipple and/or clit piercings.  I go through a metal detector on a daily basis and want to make sure I'll be able to get through before getting pierced.  Thanks in advance.

Any standar body peircer should be able to do it or point you in the right direction.

Its a very common pericing, and doesnt really require anything special. Just pay the money lay back in the chair and it will all be over soon.

As for the metal detector, get acrylic rings or studs. they're not all metal, that and its an insignificant amount of metal, so it shoudlnt set them off.

I'm airport security's least favourite person, I had a surface piercing on the nape of my neck, both nipples pierced and my hood.. they hated me, a lot
Hood piercings aren't bad, just a pinch.. if you're concerned about metal detectors try PTFE it's a more biocompatible plastic than acrylic and it's cheaper to replace, you can buy lengths of it and cut it to your desires size, leaving lots left over for whenever you feel like replacing the current piece.

I got my nipples pierced at Adorn body Art in Beaverton. They were very professional and clean plus the place is owned and ran by a very kewl lady.

Now as far as metal detectors go I am hit and miss some go off and some don't but I think you can get nipple rings made out of different materials

I appreciate all the wonderful comments.  My problem is this... I want to get my nipples pierced (and maybe clit), but I'm a criminal defense attorney and as such, I have to go through metal detectors at the maximum security prison, the county jail, the courthouse, juvenile court, etc.  I'm sure I can make it through some, but the max security one is set to detect the slightest bit of metal.  Will titanum work for that?  Again, thanks everyone...

then as some one said look into acrylic and perhapse glass bead jewlery.. you can find ones without any metal without to much problem. i dont normaly worry about the metal, if i have to go any were with detectors im going to set them off anyway. with or without my peircings so never been a second thought to me..

Gold doesn't set off metal detectors either, also, it's rarely rejected by the body. Kind of a win win situation.

Be aware, however, some people ... Not many, but some, are violently allergic to gold.

If you go through the detectors daily, why not tell them that you are thinking of getting a piercing, and was wondering wether it would set of the detector.. (you don't have to tell them where you want it)

Good morning.

i have six labia piercings, clit and nipples.  i currently have titanium in my labia and clit and have never set off a metal detector.  Just yesterday i was at the court house locally and went through without a hitch.  i love my piercings and must admit that i love that they don't get me into a potentially embarrassing situation at the airport or governmental buildings.    The only time i've had a problem was when i became ill and had to have emergency surgery...the nurses were a little surprised at what they found.....

Having my clit pierced was not something i did lightly.  Many have their hood done and that is a beautiful, functional piercing.  i had already had my labia done as well as my nipples, and had moved up in gauge size to rather large ones in each.

i decided to do the clit rather than just the hood because, for me, it signifies the depth of my submissive/slave nature.  i researched it thoroughly because if it is not done well you can lose the sensation in your clit and i definitely didn't want that!  i had a very experienced piercer do the work and he was wonderful.  It was painful, i must admit that...i have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but don't consider myself a painslut...so i definitely didn't cum when the needle went through.  It healed well...cleansing and salt water are essential.  Healing took about two months because it's in a tender spot.  Now that it's healed, though...it is a lovely, constant reminder of my sexuality.

my best advice is ...be sure it is what you want and then be very careful about who does it.    Nothing quite like a pretty pussy to make a girl feel sexy.....

When you had your clit pierced how much did it change in sensitivity?  I know when i had my nipples done the sensitivty went from about a 3 to a 10 or 11 on a scale of one to ten.

i just had an experience with airport security and my pierced nips.  I rang the bell so off we go to get wanded.  Of course the wand went off when she ran it over my pierced nips.  Geez.  At first they wanted me to take them out, but then they said if I could stretch my shirt over the piercing so they could see it through my tshirt they would accept it.  I had on a thick lacy bra so here i am trying to push my tit up and my bra down and then stretch my tshirt over the barbell.  It was hilarious.  I offered just to pull my shirt up and show them but they said no.  Hmmm--seems like that would've been the easiest solution.  BTW---the alarm went off cause i left my cell phone in my shorts pocket, NOT because of my piercings.  But once it goes off....be prepared.

i walked thru the local courts metal detector with the following UNREMOVED:

2 nipple barbells
1 belly button piercing
1 nose piercing
1 tongue piercing

i dont think it picks up surgical steel?

maybe if you are friends with a guard, you could ask him more about what substances in particular set off the detector, without him suspecting you as a bomber lol
