On Monday, Breitbart posted a video of a speech by Shirley Sherrod, USDA Rural Development Georgia State Director, delivered at the NAACP's 20th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet.

The video shows Sherrod speaking of racial considerations being a factor for how much help she would give.

"The first time I was faced with having to help a white farmer save his farm, he took a long time talking but he was trying to show me he was superior to me. I know what he was doing, but he had come to me for help. What he didn't know while he was taking all that time trying to show me he was superior to me was, I was trying to decide just how much help I was going to give him," Sherrod said.

"I was struggling with the fact that so many black people had lost their farmland, and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land. So I didn't give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough," Sherrod said. "So that when he, I assumed the Department of Agriculture had sent him to me, either that or the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and he needed to go back and report that I did try to help him."

I will cop to the fact that many black folks hate white folks. I would argue with good reason but I will even let that go.

To say there is little or no evidence of racism in the Tea Party is retarded. Even for you.

Yes that is said all the time. It was also started right after a black man became president.

How odd that the same programs they hated at first were GWB's exit strategies.

How odd that they weren't protesting while a white REPUBLICAN man ran the deficit up to record levels.

The woman is actually saying how show over came her racial hostility. Of course breitbart ends the video just as she starts saying that. Does anybody really think we're all so damn stupid as to fall for another breitbart heavily edited video expose?

Crikey Sanity you'll have to do better than this - as Ken says, the woman is pointing out two things;
1) that the racist attitude of the white farmer caused her to question how she would fulfil her duty towards him, and
2) that despite that attitude, she fulfilled her duty towards him

She never says the farmer was racist, she said she didn't help him with her federal position like she could have, and she said he went into bankruptcy and presumably lost his farm because of her.

And nowhere has it been shown that she then went on to avow her "racist past" as ken called it. I'm sure that if ken had any proof of his claim he would have posted it, because that only makes sense.

She was a federal official. She had all the power in that situation... he was a hick farmer. Turn the situation around and see if you can still support the decision to deny the federal help. You know, white official, black farmer.

What she claimed she was hearing in the white farmers attitude was filtered through her racist mind, too. She was bragging about what she did to him, she cost him his family farm on account of his color. Its easy enough to justify ones racism I suppose, if you're determined to do so, but why would you want to enable racism. It doesn't matter why someone practices racism or where or against who to me, its always wrong.

Of course we have this from the Ryan Murdough the Republican candidate in NH. So it seems racism is alive and well in America

For far too long white Americans have been told that diversity is something beneficial to their existence. Statistics prove that the opposite is true. New Hampshire residents must seek to preserve their racial identity if we want future generations to have to possibility to live in such a great state. Affirmative action, illegal and legal non-white immigration, anti-white public school systems, and an anti-white media have done much damage to the United States of America and especially New Hampshire. It is time for white people in New Hampshire and across the country to take a stand. We are only 8 percent of the world’s population and we need our own homeland, just like any other non-white group of people deserve their own homeland.

Murdough is running as a Republican because it’s easier to get on the ballot, but the party immediately “disowned him as a candidate on their ticket,” calling him a “despicable racist” and a “fraud.” But Murdough has no love lost for the GOP, complaining, “they’ve sold white people out.”
