OAKLAND, Calif. – A California man known for his anger over left-leaning politics said after a freeway shootout with CHP officers that he had been planning an attack on the ACLU and another nonprofit group, police said Tuesday.

Byron Williams, 45, a parolee with two previous bank robbery convictions, wanted to "start a revolution" by killing people at the American Civil Liberties Union and Tides Foundation, Oakland police Sgt. Michael Weisenberg said in court documents.

Okay, someone want to explain once more why the gun toting nuts are, at least the majority are, right wingers? Is there something in the diet, water, genetics?

Yup, a gun toting right wingnut. And then you have the teaparty members showing up with guns, and they wonder why they are getting a bad reputation... Racism and guns, what a great political mix, reminds me of the old days... Before MLK.

He was also going after a fairly obscure group called the Tides Foundation. Of course Tides has been mentioned several times by Beck in the last few months.

FNC of course has no responsibility if a viewer tried to act on the violent rhetoric put out by the channel 24/7. [8|]

What I was getting at is that you dont see stories about some liberal taking a gun and trying to start a revolution.

If you consider the rhetoric that Beck and others at FNC keep preaching, you would expect that there would be some sort of violent Liberal revolutionary movement going on.

Funny, it seems that liberals act with votes, not guns.
