DaddysInkedSlut -> Hyperventalting during/after a scene? (7/21/2010 3:59:11 PM)

Today after a scene with my Daddy, I found myself hyperventalating. This is something that has never happened to me before. I am wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this?

Nope. Hope you're alright.

I have had a bottom do this.

It was a very sexual scene and they were afraid of something I was doing but wanted to do it and almost passed out from the hyperventalation.

It is because of this one person that I keep a Lunch Bag in my Toy Bag.

Just in Case.

Ice Dildo's can be fun but they can also be the catalyst that starts a strange story.

No Inky, it's never happened to me. {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

That is what was going on in the scene.

Something I am new to, and something I am uncomfy with but want to do.

I need to throw a lunch bag in my toy bag. Lol

Wow.

Here

I never had to use the bag that is in my Toy Bag but I have been told it is harmless to use the bag, some people feel differently, some will tell you NEVER to do this, My Family Doc said if it is a Brown Paper Lunch Bag you're fine but if it happens over and over and over again you should see a Doctor and find out of you have Hyperventalation Syndrome. Basicly it means you are prone to Mild Panic Attacks.

Anyway I hope it helps you any.

I have hyperventalated before but NEVER during or or after a scene.

My former primary care doctor told me to be breath into a paper bag when it happened.

littlewonder -> RE: Hyperventalting during/after a scene? (7/21/2010 10:54:26 PM)

I have when I start to panic about something. He usually reminds me to breathe, talks to me in a soothing tone and we work through it and either continue if I've been able to calm down or we stop and he makes sure I'm ok.

No, in the entire history of wiitwd, you are the only one.  Ever.  Honest.

soul2share -> RE: Hyperventalting during/after a scene? (7/22/2010 6:06:47 AM)

Actually, I'm the other way....I tend to forget about breathing......it's sort of like sleep apnea.....I stop breathing and then draw in a huge gulp of air......sometimes, the only reason I'm breathing is because I'm crying.....but only one man has ever been able to make me cry, so more often than not, my partner has to remind me to breathe.

subwaythru -> RE: Hyperventalting during/after a scene? (7/22/2010 8:09:24 AM)

Indeed, at times of sheer bliss, I have forgotten all about breathing, at which there occurs a graciously offered moment of surcease and gentle reminder of this vital necessity for my continued existence, and for the mindful Master to feel comfortable to continue inflicting said bliss.
Another fond remembrance of near-hyperventilation has often occurred when, during the writhings of a particular favorite torture, said mindful Master stops a moment to enjoy the sight of his happy prisoner, consumed in giggles of utter delight which find me gasping for air. But I have yet to require the use of the paper bag.

You may want to also check your sugar levels. I know that when I play hard, my sugar tends to drop and it feels very much like I am hyperventalating. I hope it gets better, nothing like having a medical problem after a fantastic scene.

There is a difference between humor and snarkiness.  The above was humor.

It's a shame you haven't the wit to realize the difference.  That was snarkiness.

See the difference?

The wonder of written word is we all will read it and take different things from it and I read this I saw passive agressive and very snarky. Either way, the fact that I dont find humor in it doesn't mean I lack wit, infact IMO it says perhaps you lack an actual sense of humor and the back bone to admit you were passive agressive and snarky.

Personally, I find it ALL uncalled for. -shrug-

I see this thread as someone who had something quite scary happen, and was looking to see how others had dealt with it. But thats just me.

Daddysredhead -> RE: Hyperventalting during/after a scene? (7/23/2010 11:15:59 AM)

I second Kyttyn. We all come here at some point to find out if we are alone in our experience, whether good or bad, and we appreciate the information that we get from others who can encourage us to see a professional if it's something serious, or can allay our fears by saying, "that's happened to me... here's my story." Not feeling alone when something icky happens, in any chapter of our lives, is comforting. Not really a novel concept.

Inky, to get back on topic... it has not happened to me, but I think others who have recommended the paper bag as a precaution, make a good point. I have had other experiences after a scene that made me "wonder" when it happened. You were there for the one time that I laughed myself into a frenzy while I was coming down. That had never happened before, and was very new to me.

*hugs*
