BondageLoverUK -> Using a tens unit need help (7/23/2010 11:31:04 AM)

Hello All,

I recently purchased a tens unit and I would like to experiment with it on myself. I am not sure where to put the probes on my shaft and around my arse?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Just experiment. You're not going to be in much danger below the waist. Start on a low setting and if it feels good (or bad depending on what you're looking for) go for it - turn it up as you acclimate. I love our TENS. The worst thing about it is you, eventually, do get used to it and it stops being effective and when you hit that last setting and there's no where else to go you can get a sort of "Aw, shucks" moment. Have fun!

Well, I'm sure it's just like vibrators, in that, once you get too used to it, you just don't use it for a while, then next time you pick it up, it works just like it did the first time!  Only now, you know what you're doing!

Well, your arse perhaps has enough real estate that you have options for location, but your rogering pole is gonna be either up or down or back or forth, only gonna take a sec to see what works for you.

Man how can those slimy gooey electrode pads be sexy...I use one to control back pain and a little sweat turns them nasty.

I was curious about these too on myself are there any women that have used them? if so are they as fun as a vibrator? more fun? less fun?

Different.

A vibrator provides savage pleasure. Accuracy through volume, in a manner of speaking. The filling sensation and general vibration is sure to hit multiple pleasure centers at once. A tens unit, a good one anyway, will provide very pinpoint sensations. Just a few millimeters away, there will be no noteworthy stimulus. Forgive the TERRIBLE metaphor, but while a vibrator is a jackhammer, a tens unit is a dental drill. (I do believe I'm going to hell for that.)

Do you have a magic spot that, when touched, turns the world all sorts of colours? If so, tens could be very intense for you. If you prefer size and being manhandled by your toys, tens will probably disappoint somewhat.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: Using a tens unit need help (7/23/2010 11:28:43 PM)

Chrisincuffs-
Electro is my specialty. I use two top-end devices, the ET 312b and ET232 that are made specifically for play and  programmable with sound files. It is a fine art that takes practice, patience and ingenuity to learn.  However, the rewards are that once you figure out what works well for you, there is no need to keep reinventing the wheel (though it's fun to write new programs whenever you'd like a particular experience or effect.)  What I enjoy most about it is that once dialed in literally and figuratively, it is an extremely passive pleasure.  You just lie back and get done exactly the way you want for as long as you want.

I've used electro to restore sexual nerve function after a particularly heinous hysterectomy, as a lazy way to do my kegels, to 'listen' to music, to induce extended arousal and/or orgasms, to restore libido (much like acupuncture does), to rehabilitate and strengthen other injured areas of my body and as part of my yoga and meditation practice.

As for what I do with electro and male partners...well, that's too involved for a forum post here.

A good place to start learning in-depth about this art is smartstim.com.  It is free and anonymous to join and there is a forum section specifically for women.  The members are the nicest people on boards I've ever met and very eager to help.  The volume of knowledge about this subject is vast beyond measure...plus it's just a fun board all the way around.  There are pictures and videos of real 'stimmers' both male and female to help you get your feet wet.

Feel free to CMail me with any electro questions you may have.  I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Best,
MDA

Thanks sooo much! I'll definitely check that site. I'm excited to try this now! I was checking out all the different attachments on extremerestraints and have been more and more intrigued

MistressDarkArt -> RE: Using a tens unit need help (7/24/2010 4:17:47 PM)

OP and Chris-
Some of the insertable attachments can be mail-ordered from Winhealth in the UK for a mere fraction of what the bdsm stores are charging.  Even with postage to the US they are still a bargain, and you can order them free of the significant VAT charges if you state on the order form you are using them for pelvic rehabilitation...which, in essence, will be a very nice side benefit of using them for other purposes :-)

Also check out huse.com for electro insertables.  They are built like tanks, will last a lifetime, and make most everything else look like tinker-toys.  Do a search for happy-stim and you will have a great source of conductive rubber tubing and sheets which makes some of the best and most versatile electrodes available-they last, are  reconfigurable, easy to sanitize, lightweight and provide a very smooth sensation.  Gary (owner of happy-stim) will bend over backwards to answer any questions you have and work with you on solutions for custom applications. He has even been willing to build a one-off 'trode to my specifications.

Best,
MDA

I'll 2nd the recommendation of smartstim.com if your interested in e-stim.
There're much more toys out there then the sticky pads. Conductive tubing, insertables, straps, clamps, pretty much anything made of metal..
HeavansKeeper, I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. You can most certainly be man-handled by e-stim. Maybe not a TENS but certainly by either of the devices MistressDarkArt recommended with the right toy(s).
Another good source of toys in the US is kenstwistedmind.com. High quality products and low prices.

HeavansKeeper -> RE: Using a tens unit need help (7/25/2010 5:32:26 PM)

I was thinking of a therapeutic tens pointer, not even a pad-based system. It should be noted that there are electrical systems which exist to put current into attachments: toys of all shames and sizes, and can be backed with quite a punch. Play safe, and roll the dials up slowly.

reynardfox -> RE: Using a tens unit need help (7/26/2010 10:52:09 AM)

Is it battery or mains powered and are you going to use it in the bath?
I only ask so I can sell tickets for the inquest.
