Termyn8or -> I am the President of North Korea (7/23/2010 11:37:53 PM)

I hereby call upon the leaders of the US, the UK, China, Israel and Russia to disarm themselves of all nuclear weapons and any means of producing them.

Why is this not within my authority as a leader of a sovereign country, as it seems to be for certain other governments ?

This is like syaing that only the biggest bullies can take guns and knives to the playground.

Do you understand ?

T

The aforementioned countries have demonstrated that they have enough sense to not use them recklessly. (Yes I know the US dropped two bombs on Japan. It was probably the right call.) But North Korea? Their leadership is psychotic. Iran even more so.

I mean, I see what you're saying but lets be realistic here.

Also, I see you didn't mention India and Pakistan. There's a reason that the world didn't make such a fuss when they successfully developed nuclear weapons. And it looks like nuclear weapons have made each side a little more hesitant to go to war.

"Iran even more so."

No. At this stage NKs gums are long since healed, from ripping out his own teeth with pliers 'because of the microchips'.
Iran just doesn't like you, and may be plotting to murder Israel.
Not the same.

Nevermind. I suppose supporting N Korean death camps furthers the goal of killing the Jews.

Iran is run by fanatical religious leaders who are itching for an Apocalypse. For them, Mutually Assured Destruction is not a deterrent. Its actually part of the appeal.

Dear Leader, on the other hand, has no intention of letting is family lose their iron grip on power, let alone getting them all killed.

Pakistan?

Seriuosly?

Myself I'm far more worried they have nuclear weapons than I am about Iran developing them.

Yep. Pakistan were in quite a hurry to develop a nuclear programme when they learned that India had one.
Did you miss that part of the fuss about the Taliban seizing the north western territories earlier was over concerns that they might get their hands on the nukes?
