The Discovery Of Oil In Israel

An event has just occurred that the rest of the world has not taken much notice of yet, but it is one that will soon have Bible prophecy students buzzing with anticipation. There has been a major discovery of oil in Israel. An Israeli oil prospecting and production firm has formally announced the discovery of a "commercially sized" oil field in central Israel. Ever since it became a nation again in 1948, Israel has been importing all of the oil that it needs, so needless to say this is potentially an incredibly exciting development. For years, many Bible prophecy teachers have believed that oil would be discovered in Israel in the last days, but up until now there hasn't been much to report.

Status: offline 		470 barrels a day?  That's more like oil or tar sands than a standard field.

I'll believe more about it when it appears in the commercial press...

PS Yes I believe Israel has a right to exist (so do the Palestinians!).

Brain, I was thinking more along the lines of them paying us back all that money. Now that certainly would be a nice gesture!

This surprises you ? I thought they might let another year or two go before letting this one out for the sheeple. There has ALWAYS been oil there, they knew it and I knew it, they just "forgot" to tell you. Now with the fucking billions of dollars in US foreign aid slipping in value, they conveniently were about due to discover it. What gets me is that it was this year, I was thinking like more around 2014. However things do change and of course like "the Borg" they do analyse and adapt.

You can go watch TV, in the meantime I'll figure out how the timetable has been modified now, and perhaps I'll even read this thread someday.

REALLY, among you folk who have brains, how many of you thought that there was no oil in Israel ? Come on. Really ?

Yep. That's why it would be a lot cheaper for them to invade and take what they want without paying for it. They could black out a few Canadian cities for more hydroelectric power doing that, after all, and there'd be far less complaints from the Canadian government about being screwed over for lumber under the NAFTA.

Status: offline 		Yes but if you note it's crap.  470 barrels a day, in a tar sand-type formation is barely even commercially viable.  Shit, it's not like they found a Prudhoe there!
