Happy Domme Day! Alas, I didn't see any purple wristbands today, no pouncing, and only a bad dog. Anyone have good hunting? DOMME-DAY AFTERNOON The prowl began. I changed into more dommely clothes: black with a curve-loving red top, and gold lingerie, with black sandals, a red purse, my favourite perfume, and clitoral/pearl jewellery. I looked good, and smelled fabulous. I love bookstores. No matter how the rest of the evening went, I would enjoy an hour of hunting, whether for good books or good men. No purple wristbands in evidence, but I enjoyed going from stack to stack like a nectar-hungry Monarch. Where would a good subbie perch, praying for a neck-nip? Where I would be, of course: Rugby news... Humour... Fantasy [hah!]... Erotica... Literature... For some reason, my hand drifted to a shelf as a couple walked by. The book was "Erotic Comics", and it opened by itself to a cockshot [gay porn, at least, so it was well-drawn.]. I laughed at the CO omen, replaced it, and drifted on. Travel....the couple again... Classics...the man of the couple, alone. he was just the way I likes 'em: late 20's, slim, clean-cut, adorably nervous, neck veins pulsing. In a word, eminently and imminently bed-able. I approached, smiling. I drew his gaze down to his naked wrists. "Do you know what today is?" Brief washes of shock and hope shot through his eyes. Eager nod. "Do you wish you had a purple wristband?" Tight nods, tight smile, neck veins jetting. I cocked my head. he blushed prettily, smiled hopefully. "Are you here with a friend, or a girlfriend" he glanced guiltily a few rows over. "Awwww," said I. "bad dog." he bowed his head as I walked away. I continued browsing, bought some history books and even some stocking stuffers for my next, yet still nameless and faceless, good dog, but no purple bands to be seen. I ended my hunt in the poetry stacks, and made my purchases. I sat on a patio, reading my treasures, sipping an iced mocha, reflecting on my good day and better dogs. "Happy Domme Day to all, and to all a good night."

Blast it, I went out with a rubber band on to my local pub. Nothing. Just as I thought: femdoms either don't exist, or they do exist but they're timid flowers who won't talk to men. To add insult to injury, my pub's landlady, who is a motherly sort, kept edging at me to take off the rubber band because she thought it was restricting the blood-supply to my hand. (She had a point - I needed that hand later, before bed, as usual.) All utterly typical. This is how my life works.

Hi Tantriqu, And happy post-domme-day to you, too. Chuckle - that was an awful lot of emoticons to squeeze into one post! Strangely, I've never been asked if I'm a 'leftie' before. I feel I'm going to open myself up to some Freudian-style analysis here - but, in that respect, and that respect only: yes, I'm a leftie. A forearm fetish? That's another one to add to my list. I've come across armpit fetishists here at CM and my sister's a male calf-muscle fetishist. Oddness!

Dammit!! Pulled into the parking lot at work this am, stepped out, and there was a sad, abandoned purple wrist band RIGHT UNDER MY FOOT. Awwww :-( Couldashouldawoulda Think I should put a 'found' ad in the company paper ;-)

Well, as luck would have it, I missed out on this- but why can't every day be "Domme Day?". If there were a way for a sub to openly signal to any possible Dominant women in the vicinity, then why limit it to just one day? I like the idea behind this... but if I were to wear a wristband or somesuch on one day, could I not wear it on other days? Would a Domme, seeing a sub she likes wearing the recognition signal, refuse to speak to him simply because it's "not the right day?" Or am I just tasting sour grapes because I'll have to wait until next year to try it?
