I have been a subject for hypnosis with my Master for just short of a year. It has helped me in several situations that are NOT D/s related, but related to things that I needed to work on with in myself. I quit smoking, I quit drinking soda, I have started saving money, plus many other things. As for helping with emotions. I had a situation one day that I was really upset, I mean bouncing off the walls, totally come unglued upset. He put me under & got me calmed down to where I was fine the rest of the day and able to deal with the people that I had to deal with that day. So hypnosis has helped me in many areas & many ways.

hypnosis is a great release valve for some people and we have used it to unleash some seriously tightly wrapped people, but they wanted to be unwrapped.
The idea of using hypnosis to overcome emotional issues is bollocks as it only deals with suggestion and emotions run way deeper.
Do bear in mind though that the main reason that you may wish to adapt the way other people think and to control them, is because you are raving bonkers yourself.

Tell me rf, on what do you base your hypothisis regarding the use of hypnotism? have you undergone formal training via an accredited and reconised school? Do you have practical clinical experience? Perhaps you are just stating your opinion?

Just curious seeing you are comming accross as an authority again..
