Iraq and the issue, make that non issue, of WMD`s is a whole different ball game. I just dont think telling the enemy what troops operate where and in what manner helps the soldier on the ground.

My impression was that BushCheney propagandized the case for the war pretty much in plain sight.  They certainly cherry picked -- not to mention lied -- but what information was suppressed?

Are you suggesting that the taliban does not know where the troops are?
Where are any current tactical data revealed?

We went into Afghanistan originally to:
1. Capture OBL, and;
2. Deny Al-Queda a safe place to operate.

I think it is safe to say we have failed at objective #1, and will likely never achieve it, unless we stumble across his mummified corpse sometime in 2150;
We actually succeeded at driving AQ out of Afghanistan-(good news!); but they have now set up shop in Pakistan, our supposed ally (bad news!) And it also appears that AQ can set up shop just about anywhere in the world where there is a non-existant or corrupt government;

So as citizens we need to ask ourselves what we are doing in Afghanistan, and if it is worth any more American boys dying.

Status: offline 		I think if it's true people's lives are put in danger because this information was released then I don't think it should have been done. And that includes soldiers and Afghan citizens providing information.
