JstAnotherSub -> the mighty oak tree... (7/26/2010 4:56:01 PM)

Has fallen and it cant get up.  I am so glad I didnt crap my pants from the noise, and I am glad it didnt do major damage to the house, I ran and got a tarp and covered the hole....waitin for someone who works for my landlord to show up!

Why I am typing this I have no idea, but I feel some better now.

Ugh.  I hate Mondays.

Yikes[:-] Was this a planned fall, or were you in the midst of a storm?
(glad you didn't crap your pants too! and that you are ok)

was a bad ass storm that passed thru Atlanta.  They are getting the ball rolling tonight to get a tree service out here tomorrow am first thing.  Aint a whole lot more can be done.

Now I shall be paranoid as hell about the other 5 oak trees though.  None are dead or diseaased but...I had just called the landlord last Monday to tell her there were trees and limbs fallin like crazy around here and I wondered if she might wanna have these looked at-lol.

I bet she believes me next time dammit!

If its any consolation, they dont call them "great oaks" for nothing. Sure beats a bunch of swaying pine trees!
I was in the center of Hurricane Gustav, and within a matter of 20 minutes, all 3 trees that were around my home
crashed. It's amazing what a difference a few gusts of wind in the other direction make, because none hit my home.
My neighbor still doesn't talk to me though.[:(]

Stay safe!
