The other day I was talking to someone at work and used the term "HOT AND BOTHERED" . She laughted because she had not heard that in years . I was woundering how many of us have expressions that we say often andin case we are a little slow, maybe explain them to us incase we dont know them

Incase you dont know HOT ANS BOTHEREFD was meant to mean the woman was aroused by the attention she was getting from a man..

That's swell! My uncle explained that one for me because it was from his youth, so we are talking early 50s and late 40s... ancient stuff there!

Gnarly and Tubular...two words meaning awesome!

What can I say, I grew up on the beaches of California.   I remember using them when visiting back east and getting some strange looks.

I've got a teenager. It's not uncommon to get a blank look at expressions from my youth. The term necking means nothing to him.

Gnarley - Wicked Bad
Wicked Bad - Not Good
Wicked - Said before any good or bad thing in Boston
SWEET LEEPING JESUS - Said as you cum... trust me every guy wants to hear this.
Warm Fuzzies - Good things
Word - Exactly
Wazzup My Nacka - Okay for white people to say
Groovy - Good Stuff

Bite the Bullet - Go through something painful anyway. (Soldiers were given bullets in the field to bite down on before a field operation)
Cut and Run - Get Out Fast (In an emergency rather than haul up an anchor the sailors would cut the anchor cable then run with the wind.)

I know so many of them but these are fun.

I Use Wicked a Lot.
