I hate to sound so much like a thinking Man in this country as it is politically incorrect, but I have a question.
If an accident causes these things to again start gushing, why were they shut down ?
Really, if production was low and they were whining about it, think about BP's folly, they wanted more oil, now we got it. I swear, the world makes less and less sense to me every year. Whine about costs ? A low producing well can be operated most likely by two people. The tankers just come less frequently.
And the world has been after oil for at least a half a century, has technology gotten that much better all the sudden ? I think not. I think we are being manipulated, and I await their next move to get a bit closer to the truth. But then the updates and details might not come out for another half a century.
In other words, I smell a rat.
