Status: offline 		We have quite the uproar here from several posters about illegal immigrants.  Yet it was amazing the silence from them when it came out that the administration had been going after the businesses that employ illegals for the last year.  There was one in particular who I don't remember posting a single comment.  But he always claims he is an independent.

Status: offline 		The illegals are being deported to prevent them from doing manual labor that no one else will do for any amount of money, thus forcing agriculture equipment manufacturers to develop harvesting equipment for every vegetable grown in the United States, thus forcing produce farmers into going deeper in debt to buy equipment to replace the illegal farm workers.

Unlike many, I have good short term memory.

Bush did nothing to stop illegal immigration, and I had to listen to his redneck, say this famous statement for 8 years.

"They are coming hur to do the jobs Amerikans don't want to do"!
now wait a minute, time to wink.


lol, that is one of the main statements I have for Bush's legacy.
Bush was in bed with big business, and he made sure that he didn't make any of his buddies in the business world mad.
Constant stream of cheap labor, and people desperate to do anything for any amount or for so little money, is the American way!
Hell, soon we might not even need to outsource to China.
...wink, wink...

Yet here and on the thread about how Obama had been going after the businesses that employ illegals for the last year he's strangely silent.

Status: offline 		Name a president in the last 30 years that's done anything about illegal immigration! It's an issue that has been ignored time and time again!! This has been a growing problem! The Democratic and Republican Presidents (both) have been failing in this Department. This mess has been in the works for decades!! Wish people would stop and see that both Parties have been doing a piss poor job at addressing this issue in the past! Personally I'm feedup up to my eyeballs with both PARTIES at the moment!

Status: offline 		-Raises a brow.-  I won't speak for anyone else.  I'm glad that he's doing SOMETHING.  I want him to be a great president.  I want him to do right by this country.  I'm not fond of the guy.  He seems pretty slippery and prone to dancing around the issue.  BUT...with that said, I would LIKE to give him the benefit of the doubt.

If he keeps doing things like this, I'll be really excited about him.
