It was great, when reporters loved their country, and made decisions and judgments based upon that, rather than the scorn and haughtiness they have now, as they look down upon their fellow countrymen.

So patriotism should replace honest reporting?

We should never have heard about Watergate because it was a blemish on our great nation?

We should never have heard of Abu-Ghraib because it put our troops in danger?

There are a lot of people in this country that think it's ok to burn an American flag. Why is this any different ?

No idea. Is the right to burn a flag constitutionally protected, whereas the right to burn books isn't?

More than anything political, this reminds me of the '70s "disco sucks" campaign. You know, that thing of idiots being egged on by some gay bashing dickhead of a DJ to publically burn disco records. I'm not sure that's going to be the best role model for a political protest, somehow.

Oh come on, who in here (hasn't) wiped their ass with a couple of pages of the koran that they ripped out after having Mexican the night before?

Sure, burn the American flag all you want but line your cat box with pages from the koran and you're an ogre.

I've used pages from several different versions of the Bible.  King James most often.  Its extra soft, and if you get two pages, thats some heavenly two ply right there. LOL

and what is the point in wipeing ones ass with a questionable scripture?

Just curious.... I find Toilet Paper to be much softer and less abrasive.

WOAH who said anything about not allowing them... I said what they did was irresponsible.

They have the right.... I think they abuse that right.

What are you WOAHing about?

If you think they are abusing the right then you are obviously suggesting that right should be limited.

That's some fucked up thinking..... I believe in a SMALL Governemnt, one that has people who take personal responsibility for their actions and do so on behalf of a country that they are supposed to cherish and wish to protect not sully.

The Idea that people abuse a right does not mean that the right should be altered. People whom that right protects should take the time to do something responsibly rather than to make a mockery of the country that gives them the right to do so.

No where else in the world is this right protected. It would seem that with great freedom one would see it as coming with equal responsibility but rather they do not care about what responsibility should come with this right, only the fact that they have that right.... A right that came because of a form of tryany that kept classes pitted against one another and now it is being done again, with the abuse of the right that was designed to protect against just that.

It's Really Ironic when you look at it.

Now to see an Islamic group burn bibles publicly? you KNOW somoene would face legal action!  American equality at its finest.

Nope. Obama just has them burned for the Muslims so they dont need to do it themselves.
