That is the first thing He said after my collaring, when i asked if he was happy about it.

I was wondering, if there was a time for you when it turned from a big responsibility that you enjoyed having, [which obv it is]

to something that was just downright tedious to you?

were there any factors that lead to this line of thought for you?

Well it's normal for everyone to have days like that- when there's just too many chores and not enough hours in the day.  When there's too many events and not enough hands.  You get fed up, tired, burnt out and more.

The issue is when it goes from an occasional overtired thing to a regular background to your life.  And yes it can happen- whether it's from being in a rut, whether it's from being stuck in a dead-end situation (work, relationship, whatever), whether it's possibly even health or depression related, or whether it's just that the relationship has run its course.

Do what you can to be aware of the things that will cause burn-out, change what you can, and do your best.

And be forgiving of yourself and others who are really trying.

As usual, I'm with LA.  It's a thing that everybody has every now and again.  And especially in that moment, when you're agreeing to a longterm relationship, the responsibility weighs on you.  You're taking a big role in someone's life.  You're going to be their teacher, partner, therapist, friend, emotional rock and a ton of other things.  You're going to structure their life, both in and out of their clothes, toward making them a better, stronger person.  You're standing there thinking, "Wow.  I've got to take care of this girl.  She's my responsibility."  It's a big feeling.  You're proud of both of you for taking the leap.  It's joyful.  It's also scary as hell.

Hope that's of some use to you.

Ups and downs, and yes it is hard work, but I would never classifiy it as "down right tedious" to me.

It never 'turns' from being a big responcibility, TPE is by its very nature (When done properly IMO) a big responcibility, but it is an enjoyable responcibility. When I care about her, it is the way I care and taking that responcibility for her is something I enjoy, every bit as much as she enjoys her submission, even (And sometimes especialy) when it isn't easy to do. It is simply part of the dynamic, part of what makes it work, part of what makes the relationshp between master and sub/slave 'special' and worth working at maintaining.

Thanks for this topic, I hear from Master that he doesn't mind, but it is still good to hear from others about the same topic.

Taking a collar is something along the lines of closing on a house. You're happy that you've reached this point in your life but after months of "are you sure, are you really really sure" that day comes and it's "OH MY GOD I've linked my life to my goal and now I have to care for it". Not intentionally comparing you to a house but either of you gets a leaky roof and it's gonna be trouble.
