Ok, We've identified and validated a supposedly female slave is actually a male, using voice synth for phone and bad pics. We've considered posting the users account name but prefer to find out what the site protocols are for something like this. It's people like this that make it difficult for people on both sides of the equation to find what they want. What happened to honor, honesty and integrity? Good thing Our search will be over eventually. This keeps up we could get a bad taste for humanity as a whole!  [:D]

You will no doubt get a few more educated answer's than mine but i would suggest that you report what you know to one of the moderator's on site...[;)]

BitaTruble -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 11:52:43 AM)

It's a violation of TOS to post the user name. If anyone asks you about it in private email or something, feel free to do the outing but you have to keep it off the forums, your journal and your profile.

You posted this just as I was re-reading the TOS to make sure that I did actually remember seeing that somewhere. Thanks much.

A pleasure.. also, you 'can' report it to the mods, but it really won't do any good. It's basically your word against theirs and there is no way to prove anything because it's too easy to manipulate photos' etc and the mods won't know if 'you' are bitter and trying to get someone in trouble, or if the girl/guy/whatsit actually did stuff. Sad but true, liars are innocent until proven guilty and it's just to damn hard to 'prove' guilt in the virtual world.

Moderators have nothing to do with the profile side of CM, so please don't report such profiles to us.  If you feel the need to report someond for their behavior OUTSIDE THE FORUMS, contact support directly by clicking the 'Support" link at the bottom of every Collarme.com page.

I just wish I had a recording of the voice on the phone...lol...cheap voice synthesizer unit..real cheap. Laughed him off the phone. Anyway, Thank you all again for your input.

mnottertail -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 12:25:46 PM)

Do you know what model of voice synthesizer it was and if so do you think it would do a pretty good Darth Vader imitation, I could use the shit outta that.

Does anyone besides me wonder why on earth people pose as someone they're not?
I mean did this person just want some cyber thrills? Were they really *that* bored that they had nothing else to do besides making up a fake identity that was going to get them no where in life? And to go to the extent of voice synth on the telephone.... sheesh, were they planning on taking it all the way to your livingroom before they decided to say "ha, ha, I got ya! I'm really a guy! Jokes on you."
Do they reward themselves with a cookie at the end of a hard day of playing pretend? I just really wonder wtf these people get out of it.

Maybe that's the goal. To put all us evil BDSMers in our place.
Wouldn't it be awesome if we could have a cyber pit forum where we could throw pics, login names, usernames, etc... of all the posers. It would sure cut down on anyone thinking about doing it in the future. Alas, I know it's just my fantasy though, as I'm sure it would be abused.

This is precisely one of the reasons why I have no desire for an online relationship and set up those phonecalls and real time meets as quickly as possible.

I'm really sorry that you wasted your time on this person. And by the same token, I'm really happy for you that you found out the truth before someone got hurt. (Emotionally or physically either one.)

First time I am trying to do the quote thing, so if I did it wrong I am sorry but this in response too Proprietrix.  I had started talking to a "woman" online years and years ago, at the time I wasn't bi She apparently was, she would flirt but it was more of a online friendship we had. There were 3 of us, me and the other girl talked on the phone many times, we would try to get the other to call but she never did, we thought shes young shes scared, I didnt think much of it then about 3 months ago we get an email from this girl basically letting us know how she had gotten us. It was 50 year old man. We still to this day don't know what HE got out of it, and why for well over a yr he played this role with us.
But then again this is life and who knows why people do what they do.

JohnWarren -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 1:00:11 PM)

I just have to wonder how you can be so sure.  Libby has a rather deep voice and regularly gets called "sir" over the phone, but I think after 13 years together I can confirm she's a woman.

Does this mean I have the right to report profiles that claim to be intelligent and knowledgeable but end up being posted by dumasses?

Arpig -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 2:00:31 PM)

I mean really, what does it matter if there is some guy posing as a girl on here...I mean we survived JESSYKA we can survive anything. To me this thread sounds a bit like sour grapes, looking to get your own back at them. As long as things are online it really doesn't matter all that much what a person really is, as this is an intellectual medium, it is the mind that really counts. Hell I might actually be a voluptuous 28-year-old redhead for all you know, but for whatever reasons of my own I have decided that in this forum, on this site I will be an ugly overweight longhaired greybeard...hey it could be...stranger things have happened...not since JESSYKA, but  still, it could be [;)]

I just had a situation on a different site with a person using my photos. The profile was very well written & spoke of wanting to meet someone for a LTR. I reported this profile & it took a couple of weeks to get it pulled.

The say imitation is the highest form of flattery... I wasn't flattered.

akisha -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 7:53:50 PM)

Pretending to be someone you're not is such a waste of time and energy. Someone is going to notice sooner or later. It just blows me away. If you have any desire to have a relationship outside the internet forum anyway.

i tell everyone upfront. i'm a short lil troll with figure like betty boop. so if you don't like women with a butt and boobs then i'm not for you *grins*

Plus who can rememeber lies and to whom they told them. i'd be so confused.

Sorry you had such a nasty experience. It's unfortunate that someone would lie so blatantly, and outrageously. i'd definately report the profile, see if something can be done.

Side note - a D20 is a 20 sided dice used for role playing games like AD&D and Riffs etc.

crouchingtigress -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 7:58:19 PM)

I think we have to take personal responsibility for our choices good bad or ugly...were there any warning signs in hindsite?

quietWonder -> RE: Preferred site protocols (4/18/2006 8:19:20 PM)

To know atleast a half dozen people that state they are something they are not and play games with other peoples time, energy and trust online is an embarassment to admit.  But in essense i sometimes wonder how any of this is much different than men claiming to be Masters and don't understand the responsibility  that they need to attend to, how many subs claim to be slaves without out knowing the ramifications of their declaration, how many subs claim to be realtime full time subs and in actuality are nothing more than bedroom sluts with abit of a fetish.

The internet certainly seems to breed a new existence for peeps to wonder into worlds, that if we still relied on the pony express would not exist.  Some of it good and some of it haunting and darker than a vast majority of us would contemplate on being.  i have become fustrated many a times speaking to Dominant types that at then end of the day......... it has and had nothing to do with Domination and submission but was only about control, kinky sex and talking dirty to squirt a bit of fluid on the keyboard.  It is saddening to see so many people  so pent up in their lives and using the only means that seems to allow them the ability to release their devious minds.

But i guess all in all it is a way we can weed out the undesireable from those we choose to have presence in our lives.  We did it as children, it is silly that even as adults we still have to be subjected to these games from others ...  Darn has the human race really advanced through time (perhaps only in technology).... And so much for behavioural science, a person still has to accept they have an underlying issue prior to getting help.......... eeeks higher beings help us.... we are going nowhere but we keep thinking and attempting to believe otherwise... we are all deceived ............ (ooops sorry i just went off into my own little jungle thought process this last paragraph).

TacomaCpl, i truely empathise... darn fustrating i am certain.........
