Marceaux said he knows he sounded discombobulated in the video, but notes that he had to whittle down his prepared six-minute statement and that he was distracted by producers constantly reminding him how much time he had left. Marceaux, a former Marine, said he does not drink alcohol, and that his speech is sometimes hard to understand because he only has three teeth. In the end, he said, the issues are more important than his appearance. "It's not about how I talk, or how my cowlick sits up on my hair, or anything like that," he said. "It's about doing something good for the right reason." http://www.nashvillescene.com/pitw/archives/2010/07/29/marceaux-speaks-to-growing-legion-of-fans I kinda like this guy, not in a political sense, but in a general sense. I have no idea why I do, except that he makes me laugh. This is the kind of guy who, if I saw him at a bar, I would initiate a conversation just to see what pearls of wisdom he would throw out. He's like the kid in school who every one made fun of and played jokes on and as an adult he is seeking some sort of affirmation that he is an important guy. I can't believe he thinks he has a serious shot at becoming dog catcher, let alone governor. But the poor old buggar keeps trying. Good on him. mbmbn
