Good luck Karen and Holly, hope the new boy works out and glad to hear the tooth is on the mend. To all of you poor souls who are moving, My commiserations! The only sort of moving that's good is the sort we do ... where the house and stuff comes too! Life in a big rig is really suiting us so well, though we do have the occasional hassle fitting into some places. It's annoying to book somewhere (and get all mentally geared up to catch up with old friends and sightsee the area) only to find that the "huge site" is in fact quite small and surrounded by trees and bushes with a concrete slab you're not allowed to drive on in the wrong place so we can't get the rig in, let alone open up the slideouts! That happened just yesterday, and all the other parks there were full, so we just had to go on another 60k up the road. Maybe on the way back south we can hop into the day rest area for a couple of hours and get the friends to come to us, as there's nowhere we can actually stay overnight near that town! There are few times when we envy folks in USA ... but that's one of them! Big rigs are so much more common and therefore accommodated over there! The main activity over the last month was getting our 2 adorable female kittens sterilised. The vet advised that kittens don't usually worry about their stitches ... heh, ours did! It took us nearly 5 hours the first night to create something (out of what we had in the van) that one couldn't get out of and that would stop her from tearing herself apart, she was going absolutely berserk! You'd never have thought she'd had a hysterectomy that day, and whatever the pain relief was ... I want some!! In the end (and I won't go through the long list of things we tried), a neck to tail body stocking made out of a tube bandage with arm and leg holes cut, to which a very stiff cardboard Elizabethan collar was gaffa taped all round ... was the only thing that stopped her! Even then, she kicked at the body stocking ... and after 3 days when we gave her a break from the collar, she preened at it and made holes ... so over the 2 weeks recovery period, she had 3 stockings! What was even more frustrating, was that the other girl had not attacked her stitches for the whole time we were dealing with the demonchild (during which we hadn't even eaten tea!), but no sooner was that battle over, when SHE began attacking her wound! Luckily there was a first effort at a body stocking which was too long for demonchild that fitted her (she's 2 weeks older) ... and blow Me down, when we went to put it on, she got all floppy and purry! It was clear, she wanted an outfit too! So they both wore them for the 2 weeks, now they've had their stitches out, they were both glad to be rid of them. They also both got quite large cysts on the wound (of excessive wound drainage fluid due to all the crazy activity) so they had to get them drained, but all is fine now. More excitement than we wanted though! In bdsm world, the big news was that Master and i finally got a chance to play! Passing through where we used to live, we had the chance to use our furniture that a sub friend is babysitting for us. After some hesitation and nerves (it's been a long while ... our dog is so sensitive that 3 gentle swats on my ass with a towel sends her running all upset!) ... it was wonderful! Just what we both needed, very cathartic. In the next few days I hope to be meeting a sub/switch couple in a northern Australian town, so hopefully that will go well, and we might be able to squeeze in a play session. The Domme side of Me is itching for one too! All the best to everyone, may August treat you all kindly. Beautiful winter weather where we are ... 27C, sunny days, moderate nights. The doona has been packed away already! Maam Jay aka violet[A]
