ORIGINAL: whitedragonX I am a knight in shining armor here to serve a special princess :) of course I have found her yet but I will A Knight in Shining Armor is rare these days. I think perhaps you might re-consider your reference. Perhaps you meant, jester? A thought to consider, chivalrous or not, aye! Take care! I believe a "Knight in Shining Armor" was rare back in those days too. Why would you think that in the middle ages the majority of men were chivalrous? The stories we read are written about men and women of great importance across Europe. There have always been people needing to romanticize everything in life, those who are romantic in their relationships, those who open doors and those who do not, those who like to live by rules and those who find their grasp stifling. Presently, you can't just go kidnap yourself a bride, negotiate with her parents and marry her. There is a different set of social rules people follow now. Some may be described as chivalrous, some may not. Encountering drivers who yield always brings a smile to my face. If you wish to live in a way reminiscent of the past, then by all means, please go ahead. [;)] Personally, I don't feel the need to equate any considerate behaviour to "chivalry". Lastly, we can send chivalrous love notes but they won't be written out of consideration. [:D]
