it seems the sides will now agree to forloughs.  It sure is a tough choice tho.  We cant expect those guys to work for free.   And yet- if there is no revenue- then it is a hard choice.

Has anyone ever been to East St. Louis?

It is not a nice place.

I would imagine they need more not less cops. I would also imagine they have almos no tax base with which to pay them.

Status: offline 		Being from ST. Louis i know all about the East side....St. Louis is a dangerous city. Almost its entire metro area full of crime. Yes, they need more cops. Speaking of cops, years ago they had a cop that would pull women over and give them a traffic ticket...unless they let him suck their toes.

in regards to that claim.. a fact that holds true regardless of country.. when it comes to the government and its effects on economy.. it takes time for hte government to impact the economy.  SO in all liklihood, the effects now are from previous leadership, not present leadership.

Good or bad, theres always a delay before the effects are felt.  Is it the leadership previous to this one?  Or further back the chain? that is more debatable.

But,.....there's *PLENTY* of $money$ for "Foreign Aid" though! Forty Five $Billion in last years budget and that doesn't count whatever billion$ they end up pouring into Haiti!
But, those "Foreign Aid" programs keep the "Lobbyists" on K street in Washington rich!
I was in the Coast Guard many years ago with a guy from East St Louis and he said it was pretty bad back then.
Where's James Carville when you need him to yell at Obama everyday, "IT'S THE ECONOMY STUPID!"

I haven't been to the strip clubs over there in about 6 years, I bet they will be wilder now, that no cops are around. (Goes and counts ones in cash drawer)

When I went before the stripclub area was pretty safe, because they monitor their parking lot and what not right around, as not to scare off all the honkies, and the interstate is like 5 minutes away, so not to much of a journey to the wild side.

I wouldn't recommend leaving that area though at night especially, and go directly to the interstate upon exit. LOL.
