This is what happens when you don't listen to the people.
Graham ("Gramnesty") voted for two amnesties under Bush against the overwhelming wishes of the voters. That was a couple of years ago and voter anger has just been building since then.
A lot of people now consider Senator DeMint to be "the senior senator."

This kind of relates to an earlier thread. 'good news, in time for the mid terms'.. It spells bad news for democrats and also for any incumbants who refuse to listen to the voters who elected them.

Note that Graham has almost done a complete 180 in what he claims his immigration policy is. The question is who believes him.

Servant, well that's a "good" thing! And that's the way it should be, congressmen and senators who don't listen to their constituents should be voted out of office. Presidents too.
John McCain is trying to do a "180" too. Let's see how that works out for him!
Every once in a while we need to "clean house", "drain the swamp" or have a "putsch" politically to send the message that those in elected office are our servants, not part of the management.

Can you explain how you made any effort to do that during the two terms of satan's little imp*, pray tell?

What bullshit.  The GOP is censuring him for working with Obama, not for any specific vote.  Heaven forbid that the two parties should work together to accomplish things, instead of making sound bites.

Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, or Sarah Palin, with Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey trying to wrest control.

You might want to note that it is his local constituent GOP censuring him, not the national GOP. If he isnt representing their interests, what do you expect them to do, drop trou and bend over? And there is virtually no specific vote that has come to the floor that has been allowed to have GOP input, so "working with" Obama is the same as "working for" Obama on policies that are anathema to conservatives.

Steven, all this animus against Graham started back in 2007 when he voted "for" "amnesty" for illegal aliens. This isn't a "new" thing! It's just starting to build. It wouldn't surprise me if they had a re-call election on him in a year or two as he's pissed off the people in this state so much with that nonsense. That's why he's "doing a John McCain."
And there's a group on Facebook called "500,000 SC voters swearing to oust Lindsey Graham" or something close to that
He's up in 2014 and believe me,... he's going!
I don't know why people in Washington think that the voters have "short memories."
Almost "any" pol who votes for any type of "amnesty" can expect the same treatment.
When it comes to politics here in the South they have a saying; "He's not one of us." That's the "Death Knell" for any politician's career.

I wasn't aware that they were supposed to be leading the right.  I hope this doesn't mean people think I am going to start listening to them, because that's not happening. I do find it amusing that so many people on the left hate them and keep frothing at the mouth every time they talk, so I guess they do have their uses after all.

I see frothing and it's funny as hell. Sorry you missed that. Oh and I never said there weren't idiots out there who listened to them. I said I wasn't going to start and I don't consider them leaders.

Isn't that cute, 59 compared me to a high school kid. And now I am supposed to be insulted because a radical bigot thinks I am immature. Yea right. Like that's gonna happen. When you start contributing more to the threads than your usually "everyone on the right is wrong" bull shit, I might take you seriously. Until then you are an annoying little buzz in the back ground and nothing more.

Oh and since I have your attention, it's Kool aid, not cool aid.

Only takes a couple minutes to spot a bigot and call them out. But if you want to talk about people with no lives, all you have to do is look in the mirror at the one who posts endlessly on how god awful the right is and how they are just keeping you poor little lefties down in the slums.
