I don't have anything against the work/kink thing with peers in general but if it includes your boss it is a supremely bad idea. Since these are just ruminations on your part it's no big deal. In the grand scheme of things the idea would be kinda stupid on your part and horrendously stupid on his part. Fucking around with the boss is a dumb idea but fucking around with a subordinate is evidence of brain damage.

I don't understand.  How is it that your boss fucking with your head?  From your op, you state you told his girlfriend that you liked him at one point while they were on-again, off-again.  Are you thinking that she shared that with him?  Has he behaved in any way to make you think that?

Nahhh... I won't need a new job.  I co-own a business.  And my boss isn't just my dom, he's my husband.  [;)]

While I agree that office relationships more often than not wreak havoc in the work place... or the work relationships wreak havoc on personal relationships... it isn't always the case.  It really is dependent upon the stability of the relationship and the ability of the people involved to share a mutual interest in the well-being of the company.

In our case, that means my husband doesn't pull the dom card on me for some personal whim to the detriment of our business... and I put on my big girl pants and handle my work responsibilities as an independent woman. 

For the most part, during normal business hours our personal relationship takes a back seat... even though we work from home.

Of course, that doesn't mean that every once in a while Firm can't have a lap dance while he's on a conference call.  [:D]

Pam I had to recheck your profile to see your age and I was surprised to see this post wasn't written by an 18 year old. 

So let's see.... you told your bosses on again off again girlfriend who is also "kind of" your friend that you like him (the guy she was dating).  And surprise surprise they are now back together.

I know a lot of dom's and none of them like torturing people.  A number of them enjoy inflicting pain upon their submissives or slaves but this is very different to torturing someone.  Torture implies (to me) that it is non-consensual.

What makes you think he is fucking with you?  Is it possible that you are reading too much into his comments because of the attraction you feel towards him?

Is it possible the attraction is one sided?

I think  I am not alone in knowing that relationships in the workplace if one is the boss of the other person, often tends to be a recipe for disaster. In the same way, expressing your feelings for or to that person seems naive and ill thought out to me as opposed to brave.

Kudos to you Pam for recognising that this is something that would not benefit you to act upon however a word of advice if I may...next time, keep the secrets to yourself rather than sharing them with someones girlfriend [:)]...even if she is your "kind of" friend.

The other part thinks that the forums are the perfect place to discuss this type of problem since there is no risk of implicating anyone. We are all anonymous here. Anyway, my work problem has been dealt with. Happily, nobody got fired.
