I picture one riding in on a white stallion, wearing a purple velvet cape, sort of fabio-looking. Then I picture myself loading up the bow and arrow before he gets too close.

When I see this sort of writing, I always wonder what, if anything, the author expects from a dominant.  Does she not realize that he should also actively take a role in promoting himself?  This is how I approach things.  If a guy can not be bothered to sell himself in a way that interests me then I am not going to to sit around writing drivel about how devoted I will be to him.  Yep, I said drivel.

My guess is that she's writing it to the man that she envisions to be her knight in shining armour, the man that she imagines will love and keep her and committ to her etc.

It doesn't sound like she's just ready to grab some bum off the street.

Mylove letter to my potential dominant would be more like:

I haven’t found you yet, can you please hurry the hell up? I'm not getting any younger you know.

I’m playful, easy going loyal. I'll do most things within my power to please you, but I will NOT step in front of you to take a bullet. Sorry. I do, however, have enough sense to call 911 if you get shot. I also have some decent first responder training, but I'd really prefer it if we avoid any of that kinda drama.

I’m waiting for you, oh dominant one, but I'm kinda dense and often preoccupied. Can you please be wearing your sign when you show up so I don't miss you?
