Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question on safety. Excellent advice. [:)] M.

I am not saying that all pro-dommes are bad.  I would not advertise it.   I have seen it in action, and from what I have seen, there is just no way out of it.  Sex will eventually be the outcome at some point.  I know the way my state feels about this kind of thing.

Lolwhut?  I did the pro thing for quite some years, took a long break then got back into it from a more fitness-focused personal trainer perspective, and the only time I had anything resembling sex with a client was when I met one that was so cool I invited him to stay and hang out socially with my poly family after the session.  We became good friends and play partners, and no more money ever exchanged hands.   Other than that, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.  I don't know any pro dommes who have sex with their clients for money, though I'm sure you can find some professional escorts or other sex workers who do BDSM on the side.  We have too much of a visible presence and too much invested in a physical location and equipment to be breaking the law.

It's not just about breaking the law, it's also about personal preferences, unfortunately a lot of escorts don't just do BDSM on the side, they also label themselves as dommes because they want to tap into another market as well or think that will fool the cops, and of course you get then the odd person who'll think it's all the same...
Maybe because some (actually most) guys get excited in a session, people automatically assume that sex takes place, of course it is sexual (because so far I never met anybody who wanted to see a domme who's very unattractive) but there is a hell lot of difference between sexual and sex. You will hardly find pro dommes who allow sex, if you think about it logically, as a domme you need a bit more equipment, you need to know what you are doing because if you injure somebody and they have a trip to the ER, you have one hell of a problem, then I think escorts earn more per hour, so why would a pro domme in her right mind offer sex?

To the OP - regarding safety, isn't there a dungeon around you could talk to? You might earn a bit less because of their rent/cut, but you wouldn't have to worry about the safety aspect all that much.
